Our beloved, fun-loving, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, CRUSITA ESPERANZA PORTILLO, 77, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020, in Roswell, New Mexico. SERVICES: There will be a Viewing for Crusita at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Thursday, April 30, 2020, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held at South Park Cemetery on Friday, May 1, 2020, at 2:00 PM. On May 3, 1942, Crusita was born to Melecio and Besenta Aragon in Ft. Sumner, New Mexico. She genuinely loved and cared for her loved ones, especially her grandchildren. Crusita was always involved in her grandchildren’s sports events, and enjoyed going to all their games and activities. Crusita held her family very highly and was always the life of the party. She liked listening to music and watching her favorite soap operas. Crusita was a strong, feisty, loving, and caring person. One that will be truly missed by all, especially by those who had the honor to have known Crusita. SURVIVORS: Those left to cherish memories of Crusita are her husband, Filiberto Portillo; children: Betty Trujillo, Fred Trujillo Jr. and wife Connie, Dorothy Escoto and husband David, Sandie Firestone and husband Phillip; thirteen grandchildren: Melissa Hernandez, Angela Gonzales, Eddie Ray Trujillo, Jose Barreto, Joshua Barreto, Michelle Chavez, Jovanna Trujillo, Valerie Wyatt, Gabriel Trujillo, Dathan Escoto, Desiree Escoto, Dominic Escoto, and Jerahmie Aragon; twenty-two great-great-grandchildren: Aubrey Martinez, Andrew Martinez, Amayah Gonzalez, Imarri Gonzalez, Johnathan, Kayla, and Alyssa Trujillo, Brenden Campuzano, Cosme Campuzano, Caden Chavez, Xavien Chavez, Elythia Barreto, Jathen Barreto, Jeriah Barreto, Jayden Barreto, Victoria Barreto, Arabelle Trujillo, Gabriel Jr. Trujillo, Chevy Wyatt, Emily Montoya, Ayden Montoya, Averi Aragon; great-great-grandchild, Cosme Campuzano III; and sister, Floyde Coronado. PRECEDED: Crusita was preceded in death by her daughter, Ruth Galvan; great-great-grandson, Rome Wyatt; grandson, Alejandro Chavez; parents, Melecio and Besenta Aragon; as well as her siblings: Frank Aragon, Archie Aragon, Sofia Gallegos, Castillo Aragon, and Melissa Lopez. HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Crusita’s Honorary Pallbearer will be her great-great-grandchild, Cosme Campuzano III. PALLBEARERS: Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Eddie Trujillo, Jerahmie Aragon, Gabriel Trujillo, Joshua Barreto, Dominic Escoto, Brenden Campuzano, Jose Barreto, and Dathan Escoto.
