He left this world on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, taking with him a part of our world. The family will have a private Service. He then moved to Albuquerque, NM, where he started his first company, Elite Mortgage. James later relocated to California, where he enjoyed working, sailing and fishing. Moving back to New Mexico, James joined his father and proved to be a vital asset at Berrones Construction/Berrones Rescue Roofing. He took pride in his work, always tending to the smallest details. A talented individual, James enjoyed learning. He learned to skydive, fly a plane, sail his own yacht, race cars and motocross; and at one-time became a licensed ordained minister, among many other things. He was an avid outdoorsman and through thick and thin, a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan. James had a big heart and was always mindful of others struggles, gladly helping a friend or stranger in need, and when faced with adversity, he would seek opportunity. Surviving to cherish James’ memory are his sons: Case, Sabian, Bodhi and Sabastian Berrones; daughter, Monet Berrones; stepdaughters: Julia, Isabella; and their mother, Lucy; mother, Ida; father, Ray; stepmother, Jenny; brothers: Steve (Gina), Billy Ray (Marla); stepbrother, Ethan; many nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; and lifelong friend, Joe Angel Delgado, who shared in James adventures, four wheeling, hunting, enjoying life and the great outdoors. James is also survived by his beloved best friend, Marilyn Richardson, with whom we owe much gratitude. Do not let those who are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me; neither let those who hate me without cause wink their eyes; For they do not speak peace, but devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land.
