Antonio (Tony) A. Regalado, 43, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in Dexter, NM. There will be a viewing at Immaculate Conception Church in Dexter, NM on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. On March 7, 1981, Tony was born to Victor and Sylvia Regalado in Roswell, NM. He attended and graduated from Dexter High School. In addition to attending NMMI and Lubbock Christian University after high school, he was a student-athlete pitching for the baseball teams at both schools. He was happily engaged to Jessica Rojas. He was a religious man who attended church every Sunday if work in the hay fields permitted. He was involved in coaching baseball, basketball, and football for several years at Dexter High School, in addition to coaching and umpiring little league in Dexter. He received many honors, awards, and achievements in sports such as the 1997 Football State Championship, 1998 Baseball State Championship, 2014 Basketball State Championship (the only athlete from Dexter to have a championship ring in all three sports) and was selected to be on several All-State and All-District teams in High School for baseball and football. He loved watching and playing sports. He loved cheering on the 49ers with Jessica and hosting the biggest Super Bowl parties for the family. He enjoyed golfing with Jamie along with his family. During trout season, he could be found just about everyday fishing with his Dad and Jimmy at Lake Van. He loved umpiring little league games and was a mentor and inspiration for the youth in his community. Tony was an altruistic person; he always put others before himself and always stopped to help anyone in need. He loved spending time with his nephews, nieces, godkids, and all of his family, friends, and cousins. Tony will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Tony are his fiancé, Jessica Rojas; parents: Victor and Sylvia Regalado; siblings: Victor Regalado (wife Tiffany), Beto Regalado (wife Melissa), Emmanuel Regalado (wife Desiree Orosco); aunts and uncles: Ida Regalado, Johnny and Katy Regalado, Edward and Lorine Regalado, Robert and Olivia Ferrante, Sergio and Nora Gutierrez, Richard and Nena Regalado, Leroy and Denise Regalado, Juanita Fuentes, and Bertha Coronado; nieces and nephews: Victor Ryan Regalado (Ry Dog), Darcie Regalado, Rigoberto Regalado, Genica Regalado, Noah Regalado, Abry Orosco, Kennedy Lynn Miranda, Madison Rae Miranda, and Dominic Avila; and godchildren: Alaina Sky Carrillo, Darcie Brielle Regalado, Haley Ravae Salas, and James Alexander Voight. Tony is preceded in death by his grandparents: Isaias and Antonia Coronado, Margaret Sanchez Regalado, and Juan Regalado; aunts and uncles: Lucy Regalado, Francis Regalado, Danny Regalado, Luis Coronado, and Espirion Coronado. Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Jason McClain, Victor Ryan Regalado, Noah Regalado, Rigoberto Regalado, Toby Salas, Justin Salas, and James Voight Tony’s tribute was lovingly written by his family.
