Aubrey Carroll Tyler

Aubrey Tyler, born Aubrey Carroll Tyler, on August 4, 1942, joined his heavenly family on March 19, 2026. He was born in Hagerman, New Mexico to Thurman and Goldie Tyler, who have preceded him in death. He was a real scrapper and hard worker. He quit school in eighth grade to work to help support the family and worked as a laborer all his working life. While living in Roswell he worked for Robert O Anderson, Tesco Signs, Gi.ord Hill Western, and many others in the Chaves County area. In 1961 he married Denise Lee Barnhill and they had five children. The family moved to Fort Sumner in the early seventies where he worked for Henry Sutter Farms and Finney and Head Farms and other various odd jobs around De Baca County. He did everything from digging ditches with a shovel to cleaning out reservoirs with heavy equipment and he could fix anything with a piece of bailing wire. He also had the pleasure of working with race horses in Fort Sumner for awhile. He was a real kidder, always trying to make everyone laugh and loved telling stories. He would strike up conversations with complete strangers. He would see people in a grocery store and put random items in their grocery cart just to get their attention so he could chat with them. He was also ready to lend a hand anytime anyone needed anything. After his wife passed away in a tragic automobile accident, he moved to Dexter where he again worked for several di.erent people over the years doing anything and everything. He also spent some time in the Texas plains area doing odd jobs. He moved back to Roswell for a few years then married Martha Hudson Carter and lived in the Dallas, Texas area until retiring in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. After Martha passed away he moved back to Roswell to be near his daughter, Cynthia. He was preceded in death by both wives, son James Thomas Tyler, daughter Tracy Dawn Ramsey, and son Terrence Dale Tyler, and grandchildren Matthew Lee Tyler, Terrence Tyler, Jessica Tyler, and Ti.any Michelle Moon. Also preceding him in death were his sisters Lou Etta Hignight, Callie Herring, and Iona Ketchell, and brothers Tom, Earl, Harrell, and Donald Tyler. He is survived by his daughter Cynthia Kaye Lorenz and estranged son Michael as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Also surviving him are sisters Mary Rogers, Maudie Mahan, and Annie Stroble, along with several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews. Per his wishes, no services are planned.
