Bo Carson Ashworth

Bo Carson Ashworth, 27, died tragically in a farming accident on August 10, 2026, doing what he loved on the family farm in Dexter, New Mexico. Bo was born on May 10, 1999, in Amarillo, Texas. He spent his childhood in Bedford, Virginia where he was active in FFA and spent his free time hunting, fishing, and showing cattle. After high school graduation, Bo moved back to Canyon to attend West Texas A&M University. There will be a memorial service to celebrate Bo on Saturday, August 15 in Canyon, Texas at 3 p.m. at Living Water Christian Fellowship where he and Michele attended. There will be a second memorial service on Saturday, August 22 at Palestine Baptist Church in Huddleston, Virginia for friends and family. Bo and his wife Michele call Canyon, Texas home. He is survived by his wife, Michele, in Canyon, as well as his parents, Mark and Sheila Ashworth of Bedford, VA; his brother Josh Frey and wife Rachel of Lynch Station, VA; and a sister, Hannah Huffman and her husband, Brandon of Goodview, VA. He is also survived by nephews Whitten (Frey), Ryland (Curry), Theodore (Spencer) and nieces Kayl and Harper (Frey) and Kayleigh and Lainey (Huffman). He is also survived by his in-laws Sam and Phoebe Spencer of Dexter, New Mexico and brother-in-law Samuel Spencer and his wife Alexis of Aledo, TX. Other survivors include Aunts and Uncles, including Paula (Binki) Talley, Mike and Pat Ashworth, and Kathy Ashworth. As well as many cousins. Bo graduated Cum Laude with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Agriculture from West Texas A&M University. Bo’s favorite Bible verse was Proverbs 16:3, and he lived it out daily. Bo loved to stay busy and work with his hands. He accomplished so much in his short time here. His skill sets were unlimited; anything he set his mind to he did it well. In his “spare” time he enjoyed welding, silversmithing, buying/selling/and working on pick-up trucks, riding horses and roping, and all types of construction projects. Bo was always available to help a friend in need. He made friends with every dog he met, and his dog Cactus was his faithful companion. Bo and Michele met at the Sacramento Camp and Conference Center while working as wranglers in the horse program in the summer of 2018. They dated long distance throughout college while she attended and graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, and he attended and graduated from WTAMU. Bo and Michele married at the Dexter family farm on May 22, 2021, after graduation. Bo lived out his testimony daily, and his legacy will live on when their son is born in November. In honor of Bo, please wear denim to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requestions donations to West Texas A&M University – Paul Engler College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences – in Canyon, or the charity of your choice.
