Obituary for Christina Lucero Christina Lucero of Roswell went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 20, 2012 at her residence. She was 82. A Rosary will be recited for Christina at 7pm, Monday, April 23, 2012 at St. Peter’s Church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am, Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at St. Peter’s Church with Father Charlie Martinez officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. Friends and Family are welcome to see Christina on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 12pm – 8pm and Monday, April 23, 2012 from 8am – 5pm at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. She was born Christina Quintero on June 2, 1929 in El Paso, TX to Felipe Rios and Amalia (Alvarez) Quintero. Christina was a strong, faithful Catholic. She loved the Lord and did his work diligently. Christina was a member of the Legion of Mary, a Guadalupana, and attended church at St. Peter’s Church. Christina is preceded in death by her husband, Lionel Lucero Sr., son, Jerry Lucero, sister, Maria Andazola, and brothers, David Quintero and Baby Boy Quintero. Those left to cherish Christina’s memory are children, Albert Lucero of Roswell, Evaristo Lucero and his wife, Frances of Roswell, Lionel Lucero Jr. and his wife, Karen of Albuquerque, Carol and her husband, Gilbert H. Rivera of Roswell, and Erma and her husband, Charles L. Corn of Roswell; brother, Ricardo Quintero of Roswell; grandchildren, Melanie, Gabriel, Emily, Mary Ann, Yvette, Megan, Christina, Belinda, Michael, Roman and Gilbert D; and nine great grandchildren with one on the way. Grandsons, Roman Rivera, Gilbert D. Rivera, Gabriel Lucero, Michael Lucero, and son-in-laws, Gilbert Rivera and Charles Corn will serve as Pallbearers. Her wonderful great grandchildren, Fernando Jr., Dominik, Lexy, Cameron, Morgan, Makhi, Lukas, Mikah, and Chloe will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
