Christopher Michael Naranjo June 16, 1971 – February 5, 2026 Chris Naranjo passed away at the age of 54 on February 5, 2026 at his home in Roswell, New Mexico after health complication. A memorial service will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home, 2609 S. Main Street in Roswell, NM on Saturday March 7, 2026 at 1:00PM. Chris was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico on June 16, 1971 to Raymond and Nancy Naranjo (Mosier). He moved to Roswell, New Mexico with his family at a young age. He graduated Goddard High School in 1990. As a child, he loved to go fishing, boating and camping with the whole family at Conchas Lake, NM. He spent countless hours with his brothers and friends exploring, swimming, and climbing rocks there. This place became one of his favorite places to be, even in adulthood. As he got older; Chris started working as a carpenter for the family business, Naranjo Enterprises. He became well known in Roswell and the surrounding area for building quality cabinets for customers. Chris, even took the time to craft high chairs for his nieces and build a large doll house for one of them at Christmas. He then expanded his talents to farming and ranching with his father Raymond in the local area. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Nancy Naranjo (Roswell, NM), both his grandparents Manuel “Rosebud” and Lucy Naranjo (Clayton, NM) and Floyd and Maxine Mosier (Clayton, NM); his Uncle and Aunt Fil and Betty Naranjo (Roswell, NM and TX) and JM and Lynda Poling (Clayton, NM); his Cousins Michael Naranjo (Roswell, NM), Wendy Lou Poling (Clayton, NM), and Chance Poling (Clayton, NM); Niece Darby Naranjo (Roswell, NM). He is survived by his two brothers Shawn Naranjo and wife Angela, Mark Naranjo and wife Laci of Roswell, NM; His uncle Floyd Wayne Mosier and wife Janet of Clayton, NM and Tony Naranjo and wife Frances of Clayton, NM; his cousins Travis Poling and wife Heather of Clayton, NM, Michelle Naranjo and husband Kristian Hahn of Pennsylvania, Justin Mosier and wife Ashley of Minnesota, Anthony Naranjo of Logan, NM and Patrick Naranjo and wife Jenae of Colorado; his nieces Emrie Naranjo & fiancé Payton Callaway, Kimber Naranjo, Tatum Naranjo all of Roswell, NM; Adopted sister Gina Yeager and husband Richard of Roswell, NM and adopted cousins Shane Adams and wife Kayleen of Roswell, NM, Jason Adams and wife Clarissa of Roswell, NM, Chad Hammil and wife Jenni of Hagerman, NM, Mark Hammil and wife Elva of Hagerman, NM and Truman Tucker of Carlsbad, NM. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Comfort Keepers for the care of Chris the last few years. Honorary Pallbearers are Shane Adams, Jason Adams, Chad Hammil, Mark Hammil, Truman Tucker and Travis Poling. The family would like to thank everyone who prayed for Chris and all of us. It is/was greatly appreciated and felt.
