Darrin Estephen Johnson, 31, entered into rest on August 25, 2025, in Roswell, New Mexico. Please take a moment to share a kind thought or memory with Darrin’s family at www.andersonbethany.com. Services for Darrin will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory. A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a blessing scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM. Darrin, also known as Buddah, was a great person with many friends and family members. He did everything in his power to ALWAYS make sure that we were good. Darrin had three children: two baby girls, Skarlett Ray Pugh and Rilynn Stella Johnson, and 1 handsome son, Wesley James Williams. He had two loving parents who lived for him and his well-being, Jessica M. Renteria and Darrin D. Johnson. Darrin was born in Fresno, California, but resided in Roswell, New Mexico; his dream was to eventually leave and better himself, but this was where his family had planted roots. Being here did not stop Darrin from shining! He was always very upbeat, happy-go-lucky, and positive, even on his worst days. He always wanted to see people doing better than yesterday. He had a true heart of gold. Buddah was always down to enjoy a good meal, especially if it involved Mexican food, and even more if it involved a sweet treat. Darrin (Buddah) loved his family, video games, fishing, and making sure his family was always okay. His favorite pastime was having his kids around and showing them how to work on cars (go-carts). He was never selfish with anything; if he had it and you needed it, it was yours; no matter what time or day it was, “he got you!”. Darrin liked to act like he did not “like” his sister’s boyfriend, Miguel, but loved the heck out of him. To his nieces and nephews, he hung the moon; they would light up every time they saw him. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him, but we know that he is finally at peace. We will forever hold him in our hearts. “We love you now, until forever!” Those left to cherish their memories of Darrin are his children, Skarlett Ray Pugh, Rilynn Stella Johnson, and Wesley James Williams; his parents, Jessica Renteria and Darrin Johnson; siblings, Vincent Robert Johnson, his spouse, Veronica Rodriguez, and their children Adelina and Analica Rodriquez, Racquel “Skyy” Johnson, her spouse, Miguel A. Torres, and their children, Julian and Xenavaeh Torres, and Jessie Ray Johnson; grandparents, Steve and Rachel Hernandez, Nettie Simpson; cousins, Timothy Johnson, Kylea Johnson, Angel Haynes, Jadyen Johnson, Austin Haynes, Baby Connor, Jacoby Johnson; and uncles, Jason Johnson and Charles Willoughby. Those waiting to welcome Darrin into his eternal rest are his grandfather, Billy Johnson; uncle, Shawn Brown; best friend, Jason Lucero; and stepfather, Dorian Stewart. Darrin’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the following people for all the care and compassion that they have shown in this time: all the friends, family, and community that have come forth to help with whatever is needed, and Detective Gino Basille with the Roswell Police Department.
