Dolores Faye Peralta It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dolores (Dot) Faye Peralta. Dot was born in Artesia, New Mexico on January 13, 1947. She is predeceased by her mother, Theresa Rivera and sons Tony Ray, Benny Junior (Blondie) and Fabian Gene Peralta. She has two daughters, Pastor Debra Lynn and Teresa Renee and one son, Rudy Max. Dot was married 54 years to Benny (Ben) Peralta. She leaves her sisters Jeanette (Chuckles) Green, Frankie Lydiard, Rosemarie Green, Paula (Yaya) Jordan (Kim) and one brother, Jerry Green (Cathy). She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren with special mention of Toni, Amber, Janelle, Jacob and Ayrk who had a special place in her heart. She also leaves behind many great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Dot was employed at St. Mary’s Hospital and then later, at the Eastern NM Medical Center where she received several service excellence awards. She was loved and respected by patients and colleagues. Dot was a true matriarch. She was a dedicated and loving lady who took great pride in her family’s accomplishments. She was a woman who earned respect and influence with the people in her sphere from her strength, commitment and ability to love with wisdom and compassionate spirit. If you were blessed to have met Dot, you would have a memory when she connected with your soul through her beautiful captivating auburn eyes and infectious smile. We will miss her fabulous cooking, singing and dancing, and kind-heartedness to friends and family. She was a competitor; very fond of all theatrics, supported her children’s sporting ventures, and loved winning at biblical trivia. A wise man said, “There are no goodbyes for us, wherever you are, you’ll always be in our hearts.” The family would like to acknowledge Esmeralda for the amazing compassionate care she provided throughout the years, and a special thank you to Pastors Wayne and Janice Snow.
