Obituary for Edward “Red” Williams, Sr. Family services will be held at a later date for Edward “Red” Williams, Sr., 77, of Roswell. Edward passed away Thursday, October 2, 2008. Visitation will be held from 8am-7pm, Saturday, October 5, 2008 at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will be receiving friends from 5pm to 7pm Saturday Evening during the visitation. Edward was born on April 3, 1931 to George Williams and Diamond Ward in Beeville, TX. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and “Papa” too many and a friend to all. He is survived by his wife Billy Jo Hobson-Williams of the family home, his sons Edward L. Williams Jr. and his wife Andrea, of Las Cruces, Jack W. Williams and his wife Deborah and a daughter-n-law, Betty Dyess-Williams. His grandchildren, Michelle and Ernie Stone, Lee Williams and Page Chandler, Christie and Justin Campbell, Jimmie Williams and Melissa Whitlock, Melissa, Kristen and Marty Brackeen. His Great grandchildren, Kayla Salas, Ryan Williams, Hannah, Chandler, Jared Stone, Mathew Chandler, Madison Stone, Cooper Campbell and Jace Williams, due to arrive next month and a great-grandchild due in April, all of Roswell. He is also survived by one sister, Peggy Logan and one brother, Freeman Williams and his wife Lou, of Georgia, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Edward is preceded in death by his parents George and Diamond Williams, his brothers, Fred, Bill and Ted Williams, his sisters, Maxine Goode, Lillian Boshier and Pauline Helmstetler.
