Faye Deanna Tanner Henry

“Faye Deanna Tanner Henry, 55 years old and a longtime resident of "UFO Capital of the World", Roswell, New Mexico; died at Sunset Pitts in rural Chaves County on or about July 25, 2023. Faye Tanner Henry was born on August 22, 1967, to Kitten Uden Tanner and Raymond E. Tanner at Santa Maria, California. Faye attended and graduated from Santa Maria High School in 1985. Faye loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Iowa and Tennessee during her youth to visit family. Faye met John Edward "B.J." Henry, her life companion, in 1988. Excited to start their new life together, they later married. Faye and B.J. were happily together until B.J. died in August 2010. Faye had a soft spot for her furry friends, treating each and every dog like the most adored and spoiled member of the family. Faye worried more about ma!ng sure her dogs were happy, than her own well-being. Faye and her friends were practically inseparable throughout their lives. From struggling to coexist as roommates to trading dog sitting for other chores-- they were together through it all. Faye was passionate about her role as a manager or supervisor at various businesses during her career. Working her way up from employee, to assistant manager, and finally to general manager; was a source of pride for Faye. Although she could be difficult, Faye was fervent about her job performance at various workplaces. According to fellow employees, “Faye was dedicated, kindhearted, and touched every soul who walked into the store!” Nothing stopped Faye; she was very determined to meet work expectations. Throughout the time she worked together with fellow employees, Faye became a part of their lives. One coworker shared; "We became sisters!" Everyone who knew Faye was aware she loved writing and studying historic events. Faye was consumed by the mystery of Jack the Ripper and spent hours documenting her theories about the identity of the 19th-century murderer. Faye will always be remembered for her stubbornness and resilience -- the way that she landed on her feet no matter the obstacle causing her to “trip”. We’ll always imagine hearing Faye say “Hey, hello cuz” one more time. We couldn’t have asked for a better daughter, sister, niece, cousin, or friend; and we will miss Faye every day. Our memories of Faye will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her. Faye was preceded in death by her husband John Edward "B.J." Henry, father Raymond Tanner, brother Wayne Tanner, maternal Grandparents Selmer Uden and Marjorie Fonda Stevenson, paternal Grandparents Richard Turner and Avanelle Fisher Tanner, and Uncles Jerry Uden and Robert Tanner, and Aunt Patricia Tanner Ballard. Faye is survived by her mother Kitten Uden Converse, Uncle Dale Uden; Aunts Marie Uden, and Danielle Kuracinski Uden; and a multitude of cousins and cousin-in-laws.”
