Hector Herrera

A prayer services for Hector Herrera, 71, of Roswell will be held at 5 pm, Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2010, at Iglesia Apostolica 424 East 5th St. with Pastor Jaime Rivera officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Hector went home to heaven on Thursday, July 22, 2010. Hector was born on March 4, 1939 to Juan Herrera Contreras and Elisa Pando Tarin. He is survived by his wife Noemi of the family home. Hector was a member of Iglesia Apostolica de la Fe en Cristo Jesus. He was always at church, wearing a smile, and making everyone feel welcome. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed gardening. He was a wonderful husand, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Hector will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his wife, Noemi, Hector is survived by four sons; Hector Herrera Jr., and his wife Delma of Hobbs, Elias Herrera and his wife Norma of Roswell, David Herrera and his wife Beatrice of Roswell and Sergio Herrera of Roswell, two daughters; Edelmira Meza and her husband Alejandro of Chihuahua and Hermila Meza and her husband Carlos of Roswell, fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, two brothers; Oscar and Felipe Herrera, two sisters; Adelaida Martinez and Armida Lopez, numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends. Hector was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Elisa Herrera, one son Juan Herrera and one sister Angelina Quesada. Pallbearers will be Juan Carlos Meza, David Herrera, Miguel Herrera, Jonathan Herrera, Marco Palafox and Gilberto Palafox.
