Isabel Rios

Maria Isabel Rios, 12, of Roswell passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011 at her home. She was born March 18, 1999 to Jamie Rios and Ana Salas in Roswell, NM. Isabel attended St. John’s Catholic Church and served as an Alter Server. She loved all sports, especially soccer. Always the life of the party, Isabel could make anyone laugh. She was in the 7th grade and had lots of friends. She was very outgoing and loved her brothers and family dearly. Isabel will be missed greatly. Those left to cherish her memory is dad, Jamie Rios; mother, Ana Salas; brothers, Elias Salas and Josh Rios; grandmother, Cirila Salas; grandfather, Francisco Salas; grandmother, Manuela Perez; aunt and godmother, Raquel Salas (Juan Aquirre); uncle, Luis Salas (Alex Gonzales); uncle and godfather, Raul Salas; aunt Armida Lozano; uncle, Marcos Rios III (Leah Flores); cousins, Miguel Salas, Samantha Salas, Natalie Salas, Isaac Salas, Ethan Salas, Nicholas Salas, Denise Gonzales, Elieso Aguirre, Yesenia Aquirre, Catarina Soto, and April Soto; numerous aunts and uncles; close friends, Sonya Tercero Robert and Denise Gonzales and Allen Curtis and Family; and other numerous family and friends. Preceding Isabel is death is grandfather, Marcos Rios; great grandmother, Maria Amaparan; great grandfather, Merced Villa; great grandmother, Juanita Salas; cousins, Josey Aldarete and Lupe Aldarete; and great aunt Ramona Martinez. Serving as pallbearers are Jamie Rios, Elias Salas, Josh Rios, Raul Salas, Luis Salas, Marcus Rios, Robert Gonzales, and Miguel Salas. A rosary will be recited 7pm at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home, Wednesday, November 2, 2011. A mass will be celebrated 10am at St. John’s Catholic Church, Thursday, November 3, 2011. Father Juan Antonio Gutierrez will officiate. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.
