Jennifer Rose Lucero

Jennifer Rose Lucero, 40 of Roswell, NM gained her wings on August 31, 2021 in Roswell, NM. There will be visitation on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Immediately following visitation the Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. John’s Ava Maria Center, masks are required. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Jennifer is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Joe and Maggie Lucero and maternal grandparents Alfonso Urrutia Vazquez Sr. and Enriqueta Juarez de Urrutia. Uncle’s, Joe Lucero, Frank Lucero, Rudy Lucero and Alfonso Urrutia Vazquez Jr. Aunt’s, Lucrecia Urrutia Lopez,, Maria de la Luz Urrutia Juarez and Juana Urrutia Sanchez, and her cousin Rudy “Vato” Lucero. Jennifer was born to Robert Sr. and Blanca R. Lucero on August 4, 1981 in Roswell, NM they survive her at the family home. She is also survived by her brother Robert Lucero Jr. and his partner Griselda Aubert, her sister Dora Barreras and one nephew Robert Ray Lucero. Other survivors include her Uncles, Gilbert and Felipa (Phil) Lucero, Ray and Andrea Lucero, Celerino and Lola Urrutia and Jose Luis Sanchez. Aunt’s, Josie and Eddie Espinoza, Candy and Joe Samario, Eloise and Gabriel Pino-Vasquez, Monica Garcia,Tela Turner, Dalene Barrreras Virginia Urrutia and Benja, Enriqueta Urrutia Munguía and Luis, Celiflor Urrutia Lopez and Tonio and numerous cousins. Jennifer graduated from University High School in 1999. She was an avid sports fan. Her favorite teams where the Pittsburg Steelers and Los Angeles Dodgers. Jennifer enjoyed crafting, cooking, baking and spending time with those she loved. “I am difficult, dramatic, caring, loving and sensitive. I love to laugh and make others laugh.” Jennifer’s laugh was contagious, and she was the life of the party. She had a beautiful soul and was always ready to help anyone in need. Jennifer was a cancer survivor and during that time in her life she never lost her faith. She always seen the good in everyone and she never judged anyone. She loved her family unconditionally. We all live on borrowed time and we sometimes forget that nothing lasts as long we hoped they would. Losing Jennifer so suddenly is heartbreaking to the family, we will miss her dearly. She will be forever remembered for her ability to make us laugh, her beautiful smile and caring ways. We will miss her. Pallbearers will be Joe Samario, Michael Albarez, Matthew Acevedo, Junior Espinoza, Robert Ray Lucero, Anthony Espinoza, Fabian Anaya and Ricardo Juarez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Valarie Albarez, Amanda Lucero, Nicole Espinoza, Alisha Acevedo, Priscilla Anaya, Jessica Lucero, Sabrina Villarreal, Maria Lucero, Deanna Sanchez, Erica Carter, and the rest of her cousins.
