Obituary for Joseph “Gilbert” Carrillo Joseph “Gilbert” Carrillo, 61, of Roswell passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012 at his home surrounded by the love of his family and friends. Gilbert was born on Sept. 28, 1951 to Urbano and Rose Carrillo in Roswell, NM. He worked as a carpenter for Narrujo Construction, as a plumber for Carrillo Plumbing and Heating and Lum Plumbing. His favorite job was working for Budweiser Herring Distributing Company for fifteen years as a truck driver. He also worked as a truck driver for the City of Roswell Sanitation Dept. Gilbert loved spending time with all his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him. Gilbert is survived by his wife, Shirley of the family home; his loving mother who raised him, Maxine Carrillo of Roswell; his daughters, Jessica Carrillo and Jennifer Pena and her husband, Tommy of Roswell; his grandchildren, Johnathan, Alicia, Tomas, Julia and Julian Pena; his brothers, Facundo Carrillo and his wife, Priscilla and their children, Lil Floyd, Joe Ray and his wife, Peggy; Orlando Carrillo and his wife, Gloria and their children, Abraham Salcido, Eric and Ernic Perez; Andrew Gamboa and his wife, Tracy and their children, his sisters, Gloria Anaya and her children, Adriana, Melvin and his wife, Marla; Virginia Miranda and her husband, Richard and their children, Annalicia Miranda and Valarie Cobos and her husband, Richard; Kathy Madrid and her husband, Ronnie and their children, Renne Carrillo, Ronnie and Adam Madrid; Dianne Gamboa and her children; Christine Borrego and her husband, Johnny and their children; his sister, Martha Najar and her husband, Eddie who precedes him in death and their children, Roseann Albarez, Cindy Macias and son Edward Najar, Jr.; his brother Floyd Carrillo who precedes him in death, his daughter Armendina Carrillo; his brother –in-laws, James Burch and his wife, Vanessa, Garland Burch and his wife, Deborah; his sisters-in-laws, Carol Burch and her husband, Patrick, Peggy Martin and her husband, Perry; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Urbano and Rose Carrillo, his brothers, Melvin, Renne, and Armando, his niece, Lucy Perez and his father-in-law, James Lloyd Burch.
