Kenneth Storms

Kenneth Michael Storms, 64, father, husband, brother, friend, was called home by his heavenly father on December 4th, 2011. Kenneth was born December 20th 1946 in Norfolk, Virginia but was raised in Bladenboro, North Carolina. Kenneth moved to Roswell when he was 16 and lived with his brother and his family. He soon joined the Army, where he was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington, then traveled to St. Louis, Missouri. After basic training he did a tour in Vietnam from June 1967 to March of 1969. After Vietnam, Kenneth returned to North Carolina where he married and had a family. In 1989, Kenneth and family decided to move back to Roswell, New Mexico. Kenneth was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Storms and sister, Marion Storms. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 28 years, Faye Storms and their three children, Kenneth Michael Storms II, Matthew Sherman Storms, and daughter, Katherine Marie Storms. Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren, Michael John Sanchez, Braedyn Michael Storms. Graesyn David Storms, Rosa Servita Vallejos, Jesus Alexander Vallejos, all of Roswell; mother, Evelyn Brown of North Carolina; brothers, sisters and spouses, Harvey (Stormy) Storms, and wife Ella of Roswell, Dennis Brown and wife Stella, Nick Brown, Bobby Storms and wife Ester, sister in law, Marie Storms, sister, LaVella Waller and husband, Ed, all of North Carolina, brother, Roscoe Storms and wife Janie of Virginia, sister, Pearlese McCalley and husband, Bill of Lake Laneir, Georgia, sister in law, Diana Anderson and husband, Kevin of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service for Kenneth Storms will be held 2pm, Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel with Eddie Lee officiating. Five Minutes If I only had five minutes the day you passed away, I would have had time to tell you all the things I needed to say. I never got to tell you how much you mean to me, Or that you were the best dad, better than any man could be. The last time that I talked to you I wish I would have known. I would have said I love you, and kept you on the phone. If I only had five minutes, the morning you passed away, I'd give you one last hug so tight and see your great big smile. I'd tell you that I don't think I could live without you, not even for awhile. I'd kiss your cheek and take your hand and tell you it's okay to go And tell you that I'll miss you, more than you'll ever know. But you were gone so quickly, One last car ride you'd take. Before you even knew it, you were standing at heavens gate. Now God has called upon you, It's time to get your wings. To leave this life behind you, And enjoy all of heavens beautiful things. So wait for me in heaven Dad, Don't let me come alone. The day the angels come for me, Please be there to bring me home.
