Leopoldo Villegas Gutierrez, 87, passed away at his home on August 16, 2017. Viewing will be Friday, August 18, 2017, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited following the Viewing at 7:00 PM. Celebration of Life will be Saturday, August 19, 2017, 10:00 AM at St. Peter’s Catholic Church officiated by Father Charlie Martinez. Leopoldo was born on October 7, 1929, to Antonio Gutierrez and Belen Villegas de Gutierrez in Cierro Prieto Cuahutemoc, Chih., Mexico. He attended school in Mexico and made his career in the construction business, from which he retired. Leopoldo’s passion was his family and spending time with them. He also enjoyed going to casinos and buying lotto tickets. A great pleasure of Leopoldo’s was remodeling and working on his home and working in his yard. Preceding Leopoldo in death were his parents: Antonio Gutierrez, Belen Villegas de Gutierrez; grandson, Marcos Javier Ramos; great-grandsons: Daniel Jr Ramos, Ricardo Ivan Aguilar; sisters: Estela Gutierrez De Perez, Celia Gutierrez Villegas; and brother, Jose Luis Gutierrez.
