Leroy Harvey Groves Obituary Leroy (Lee) Harvey Groves was called home to Heaven on June 2, 2017, at the age of 79. He was born in Prague, Oklahoma, on October 25, 1937, and attended high school in Hominy, Oklahoma. He later resided in Roswell, New Mexico, where he worked as a long haul truck driver prior to his illness. Private memorial services will be held for the family in Pennsylvania, with Pastor Ed Hodor officiating the service. Leroy was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Groves; his father, St. Elmo Harve Groves; his mother, Eva Mae (Ramsey) Groves; a stepson, James Leonard Foster; sisters, Barbara A. (Milon) Groves; Doris Lee (Robinson) Groves; and Beatrice M. (Palmere) Groves. He is survived by his only daughter, Rhonda Lee Jaquay of West Mifflin, Pa; two brothers: Ronald L. Groves of California, Donald F. Groves Sr. of Rio Vista, California; a sister, Donna McFrancis of Flatonia Texas; a stepson, Raymond Foster of Jakarta, Indonesia; step grandchildren: Thomas Craig Foster and wife, Cheryl of Spring, Texas, Summer Leigh Krause of Spring, Texas, and Brian Lance Foster and wife, Veronica of Harker Heights, Texas, and their mother Gloria Foster (wife of the late James Leonard Foster); nine grandchildren: Robert A. Jaquay of Charleroi Pa, Charissa Q. Jaquay of Charleroi Pa, Christopher S. Jaquay of West Mifflin Pa, Albert S. Jaquay of Bentleyville Pa, Preston L. Jaquay of Marina, California, Sheldon Q. Jaquay of Alexandra, Virginia, Briandasha N. Jaquay of Brentwood, Pa, Storm B. Jaquay of Munhall, Pa, Skylar F. Jaquay of Charleroi, Pa; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He spent the majority of his life with his beloved wife Norma Jean Groves who preceded him in death. They loved playing bingo, going to the casino, and spending time together. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing in Country Western bands throughout his life. He also used to volunteer his time to play at nursing homes in the Roswell, New Mexico area. He enjoyed sharing stories from his life and talking about the good old days. He will be missed greatly by his beloved family and friends!
