Obituary for Maria Ruiz A rosary will be recited for Maria Ruiz, 58, of Roswell at 7:00 pm Friday, August 8, 2008 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held for Maria at 10:00 am Saturday, August 9, 2008 with Deacon Luis Romero officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday from 8 am till 8pm and Friday from 8am till 5pm at the funeral home. Maria passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008, surrounded by the love of her family. Maria was born May 13, 1950 to Masedonio Bueno and Andrea Mendez Bueno. She and Elias Ruiz were married in Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico and later relocated to Roswell. Elias survives Maria at the family home. Maria was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She loved crocheting, spending time with her grandchildren, and helping others when she wasn’t at home cooking. She also loved traveling with her husband and enjoying life. Maria’s five sons were the light of her life. She was so proud of them; if you knew Maria you heard about her sons and the love and pride she had for them. In addition to her husband, Elias, Maria is survived by five sons, Adrian Ruiz and his wife, Veronica, Artemio Ruiz and his wife, Sonya, David Ruiz and his wife, Rosalba, Alan Ruiz and Carlos Ruiz, all of Roswell; six grandchildren, Brianna, Mariana, Artemio Jr., Arianna, Roman and Aaralynn Ruiz all of Roswell; one nephew, Efren Molinar and wife, Laura of Roswell; and a host of friends. We will miss Maria and will never forget her. Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Masedonio and Andrea Bueno and two sisters, Benita Molinar and Pola Sanchez. Ella y Elias Ruiz se unieron en matrimonio en Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico y despues se movieron a Roswell. Elias la sobrevive en el hogar de la familia. Maria era miembra de la Iglesia Catolica San Juan. Le gustaba tejer, compartir tiempo con sus nietos, y cuando no estaba cocinando le estaba ayudando a alguien. Tambien le gustaba compartir tiempo con su esposo viajando a diferente lugares. Maria tenia cinco hijos que eran su adoracion. Estaba tan orgullosa de ellos. En addicion a su esposo, Elias, Maria la sobrevive sus cinco hijos, Adrian Ruiz y su esposa, Veronica, Artemio Ruiz y su esposa, Sonya, David Ruiz y su esposa Rosalba, Alan Ruiz y Carlos Ruiz, todos de Roswell; seis nietos, Brianna, Mariana, ArtemioJr., Arianna, Roman y Aaralynn Ruiz todos de Roswell; un sobrino, Efren Molinar y su esposa, Laura de Roswell; y nemerosas amistades. La vamos a extranar y nunca la vamos a olvidar. Maria la proceden en muerte sus padres Masedonio y Andrea Bueno; dos hermanas, Benita Molinar y Pola Sanchez.
