Maryilda Ogas (Christine Rodriguez), 72, passed away peacefully at her home with daughters Elisa and Bobbie on Friday September 22, 2023 in Roswell ,New Mexico. There will be a graveside service at South Park Cemetery on Friday October 6,2023 at 10:00 am On April 13, 1951 Maryilda was born to Alejandro Ogas and Cecilia Benavides in Roswell, New Mexico. Maryilda’s home was always open to those in need, caring for others came naturally to her. Her most favorite pass time were the relaxing and glamorous mani-pedis her daughter would treat her to or the early morning deals she would catch at garage sales. Her kind heart and giving soul will be truly missed by her family and friends. Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Maryilda are her sister Juana Gandara daughter: Roberta (Bobbie) Rodriquez and Johnny (Joe) Chavez; grandson: Gerardo Jr. and Reyna Garcia; great grandchildren; Querida and Jayden Rodriguez and children; Eunice and Vash’ti Rodriguez; Adelita Garcia and Child; Zaymond Hobbs, Cassanova Garcia, Mariah Garcia Onyca Garcia; grandson Julian Garcia, Daniel (Nico) Garcia and Santianna Analla; Great granddaughter Summeriah (Maddie) Garcia; grandchildren; Aliyiah Garcia and family, Carlos Garcia, Aubrie Garcia(moms best friend) daughter: Tina Medina; granddaughter: Valerie Gonzalez; great grandchildren: Elijah and Luca Garcia; grandchildren: Saul Gonzalez, Galilea Medina; daughter: Theresa Adame; granddaughter Araceli Ogas and Cesar Castaneda; granddaughters: Meagan Acevedo and Celestina Castaneda; granddaughter: Margarita and Eliseo Zavala; great grandchildren: Eliseo Jr. and unborn baby Zavala; grandson: Raymundo Macias; Daughter: Elisa and Ernesto Sierra; grandson: Miguel Rodriguez; great grandchildren Alex and Mia Rodriguez; great grandchildren: Genesis, Miguel Jr., Isreal Rodriguez, and their mother Sierra Velasco; granddaughter Cassandra Sierra; son: Ernie Ogas; granddaughters: Azaleah Marquez, Lydia Ogas Sanchez; son: Augustine Rodriguez; inherited grandsons: Adrian and Sergio Alvidrez Maryilda is preceded in death by her lifetime partner, Augustine Rodriguez; parents: Alejandro Ogas and Cecilia Ogas; siblings: Alejandro Ogas, Fernando Ogas, Sofia Ogas, Andrea Ogas; niece, Luisa Ramirez; nephews: Russie Ramirez, Fernando Ogas Jr. The family of Maryilda wishes to extend sincere thanks to Father Charlie at St. Peters Catholic Church, also to Maureen Denio, Don Baltazar, Veronica Ramero, Janie Mealand, and Robert Fuentes. Thank you to everyone who provided food, visits, and phone calls. A special thank you to Sister Bobbie, Joe, and Aubrie: I just wanted to let you know that I thank you for the amazing care you provided mom as long as you did. I know I speak on behalf of myself, my kiddos, and my grandchildren when I say your devotion and kindness made those final months far more bearable and beautiful for her.
