Obituary for Michael D. Maxwell Private memorial services for Michael (Mike) D. Maxwell, 64, of Roswell, will be held at 5:00 pm Thursday, January 11, 2007 at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home. Mike was a loving Husband and Father he passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2007, into the waiting and loving arms of our Heavenly Father. Mike was born on March 2, 1942 in California. He moved to Roswell, NM from Albuquerque, NM in 2003 with his wife Rina. Mike worked as a Sales Manager for a number of years for manufacture housing companies in Albuquerque, NM until 2000 where he took an early retirement. Mike was an expert fisherman and loved to make clocks and picture frames, he had a passion for antique guns. Mike loved and had a huge heart for animals, especially the numerous dogs he had in his lifetime. Mike was a talented man who created beauty with anything he touched, he was a lover of nature and the world around him. His infectious laugh and sense of humor will be truly missed by all those who love him and all those he love unconditionally. His laugh shall never be forgotten, nor his ability to act kindly without hesitation. He had many enduring friends whose life he touched in countless ways. A very special thanks to Roswell Hospice representatives, Dave Newsome and Chaplain Rudy Guajardo, thanks for being so caring and compassionate. Mike is survived by his wife, Maurina (Rina) Maxwell of the home; two children, H. Garry Gaede and his wife, Mary of Lawton, OK and Leesa Maxwell of Albuquerque, NM; two grandchildren, Stephanie Gaede and Anjela Gaede both Lawton, OK; Maternal mother, Ovella Mullikin and his father, Doyle Maxwell and two sisters; Bonnie Knight of Artesia, NM, Linda Vandewart of Roswell, NM; four brothers, Ted Machen of Lake Whitney, TX, Robert Machen and Charles Machen both of Seymour, TX, and Kenneth Maxwell of Roswell, NM. He was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his mother that raised him, Billie Maxwell of Roswell, NM.
