Myrna B. Campos

Myrna Campos, 53, of Roswell, NM, passed away May 9, 2023, with family by her side. On July 4th, 1968, Myrna was born in Juarez, Mexico to Rudolfo and Rosa Chairez. Her younger years were spent in Roswell, where she met the love of her life. Myrna and Victor Campos married on April 15, 1987 and officially began their greatest adventure of life together. Myrna was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and husband and embraced every moment together as a family. She especially loved her role as "MiMi" and lived to spoil her grandbabies. Her love for all things glitter and bling were like a metaphor for her sparkling personality and she always made people around her laugh and feel welcome. Dancing with her sweetheart was one of her most favorite things to do. She enjoyed family parties and was famous for her delicious salsa. She loved to travel anywhere and everywhere with family and was always there for those when they needed her most. Myrna taught her two daughters what it meant to be a great mother and helped them both tremendously when each of her grandbabies were born. Her love for her "sunshine" was immeasurable. She could be heard cheering on her kids and grandkids as they played sports and danced and supported everything they did. She beamed with pride over the accomplishments each of her three children achieved and always appreciated the hard work and dedication of her husband in being an amazing provider. Her laugh was always loud and genuine and her love for her family was all encompassing. Myrna is survived by her husband Victor Campos; daughter Myrna Crystal Martinez and husband Josh Martinez, daughter Desirae McMaster and husband Austin McMaster, and son Victor Campos; Grandchildren Jonah Martinez, Luna Martinez, Riley McMaster, Elliott McMaster, and Taylor McMaster; father Rodolfo Chairez; siblings Rudy Chairez, Rosa Meredith, Nora Torres, Maribel Stone, and Maira Chairez; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Myrna is preceded in death by her mother Rosa Chairez and many other loved ones. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of truly getting to know her but her legacy of love, loyalty and family will live on. Myrna taught us how to be brave and persevere, no matter what life may throw our way.
