Nicholas D. Gerberich

A wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend, NICHOLAS D. GERBERICH, 28, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. SERVICES: A Memorial Service for Nicholas will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at 2:00 PM. On June 3, 1991, Nicholas was born to William H. Gerberich, Sr. and Marni Gamboa in Aurora, Colorado. He graduated from Goddard High School in Roswell, New Mexico. Nicholas worked for RT Trucking, of Loco Hills, New Mexico. He enjoyed building puzzles and being with his animals. Nicholas was a fantastic baseball and basketball player. He loved his Hike It and Spike It brothers, and they worked hard and achieved two winning championships. Nicholas was an amazing and wonderful man who touched many lives. He will be profoundly missed by his family and friends. SURVIVORS: Those left to cherish memories of Nicholas are his parents, Marni and Frank Gamboa of Roswell, New Mexico, and William and Tammy Gerberich of Aurora, Colorado; grandparents: Phillip and Shirley Gerberich of Aurora, Colorado, Richard and Randhi Hesse of Roswell, New Mexico, Patricia Cooper of Colorado, Henry Gamboa of Hagerman, New Mexico; siblings: William Jr. and Brandi Gerberich of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Melissa Gerberich of Roswell, New Mexico, Nathan Gerberich of Aurora, Colorado, Christina Shaver of Colorado; aunt, Jody Gerberich of Aurora, Colorado; uncles: Jimmy Gerberich of Aurora Colorado and Michael Chierici of Roswell, New Mexico; nieces and nephews: Mackena, Ivan, and Shailey Gerberich of Carlsbad, New Mexico, and Lorenzo (Little Man), Jayden, and Amaya Gallegos of Roswell, New Mexico; close friends: Joe Baca of Oklahoma, Stephen Huerta of Artesia, Forrest Young, Brenden Johnson, and many other who’s life he touched; as well as his precious pets: Rico, Johnny, and Bella. PRECEDED: Nicholas is preceded in death by his grandfathers: Roberto Chieraci and Eddy Cooper; aunts: Megan Felton and Maureen Baldos; best buddy, Georgia, who saved him; as well as his work brother, who left this life with him, Storm Hutchins of Carlsbad, NM. Nicholas was a casual, easy-going, and laid-back man who would want everyone to be comfortable as well so it would be great for anyone coming to the service to dress casually. Flowers are respectfully accepted, preferably red and black flowers, as they were his favorite colors.
