Owen Wright

Memorial services for Owen D. Wright, 79, of Roswell, will be held Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, 10 am at Trinity House of Praise (Sunset & Albuquerque) with Pastor Bobby Barnett officiating. Owen passed away Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010. Owen was a resident of Roswell for over 50 years. He is at peace with his maker today and abiding in his new home in heaven. His actions and words said “Hallelujah.” What joy there is in knowing, without a doubt, that life on earth is but a fleeting moment in the face of eternity with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Who has the power because He is God to lay down His life for even me. I have asked Him to cleanse me of sinfulness and He is faithful to keep His word. Don’t mourn for me but rejoice, for I know my soul, my very being, is now happier than I’ve ever been. He loved his family and church family and had total assurance of his faith. Owen was a faithful member of Trinity House of Praise and a former member of Roswell Baptist Temple. He worked many years with ABC Mechanical Plumbing Company in Roswell and Albuquerque, and with Fulkerson Plumbing Company as a warehouse manager. His love and devotion to his wife was paramount in his life which also revolved around his love for his family and the care of his new son, Bob Adams, who came to live in his home 10 years ago. He was Bob’s special care giver. Owen will be greatly missed by all who came to know him as a caring, loving son of God. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn of 43 years, still residing in the home; his son, William Wayne Wright and Vicki of Albuquerque; two daughters, Sandra Harris and her husband, Harry of Roswell, and Cynthia Peacock and her husband, Mike also of Roswell; eleven grandchildren: Kaleigh Wright, Teresa Ingersol, Ciara Wright, Cara Harris, Leland Wright, Jonathan Harris, Roger Peacock, Rachael Peacock, Ashley Peacock, Jeremy and Rodney; one great-granddaughter Gwendyln Ingersol; and the Beckham and Whitehead Families. Owen was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Minnie Wright, two sisters, Pauline Rice and Doris Simmons.
