Patricia Joan Anaya

Patricia Joan Anaya, 65, passed away in Roswell, New Mexico. In accordance with Pat’s wishes, there will be no services at this time. Celebrate Patricia’s life by visiting www.andersonbethany.com to offer a memory or expression of sympathy for her family. On March 16, 1953, Pat was born to Fred and Evelyn Moody. She married her soul mate, Carlos Anaya on June 20, 1973, in La Puente, California. An amazing woman by many standards, Patricia [Pat] was loved by many. She was a mother, not only to her biological children, but also to several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends who needed her love. Pat loved to paint, sew new clothes for her many children and provide nursing care for her family at a moment’s notice. She also provided nursing care to people who needed her help but were unable to pay for that kind of care. The entire family is indebted to Pat, because of all the love and care she provided to many members of our family during their last years of their lives. Specifically, she cared for her mother-in-law for over a year before she passed. Pat also took care of her mother and father during the last years of their lives. Pat was also an awesome momma to her dogs, bullet and Deeogee (Dee). She had a listening ear and gave advice, without judgment, to anyone who needed to talk. Pat’s favorite pastime was to spend time with her family and watch her children and grandchildren play sports. She was ready to open her home and heart to anyone who needed her. Those surviving to cherish the memory of Pat are her spouse, Carlos Anaya; children: Carlos Anaya Jr., Curtis and Cheri Anaya, Ysidro [Jose] and Lisa Anaya, Erminnia and Bobby Gomez, Sandra Anaya, Kevin Turpin; grandchildren: Kaylee, Cynthia, Jean Pierre, James, Victoria, Naariah, Bear, Abigail; siblings: Jim and Kathy Moody , Valerie Fisk, Rick and Madeleine Anaya, Ysidro T. Anaya (Sid), Josefita Anaya (Fita); nieces and nephews: Marie Bernadette and John, Patricia, Jason, Travis and Lisa, Paul and Jennifer, Amanda and Michael, Audrianna and Clifton, Monica, Dianna and Mathew, Frankie and Christell, Adrien and Alex, Julien and Kimberly, Joanna, Jacob and Misty; and precious pets: Bullet and Deeogee (Dee). Preceding Pat in death were her father, James Fred Moody; mother, Evelyn Lucille Moody; granddaughter, Desire Anaya; mother-in-law, Erminnia B. Anaya; and father-in-law, Jose (Eloy G.) Anaya. In her husband’s words: “She was my wife for 45 years! She stood by me in every situation and on every decision. She had my back on everything I endeavored. She even bought me a motorcycle on her birthday. She's my wife, best friend, lover, mother of our children, and grandmother to our grandkids. She is truly the most amazing woman I've ever met. She took a huge part of my heart with her.” '' I love you more"
