Paul Venturo

Paul Joseph Venturo was born on January 14, 1953 in Portsmouth, Virginia to Frank and Gloria Venturo. He was called home to heaven on October 7, 2006. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Debora Venturo, and his best friend, Yoda. Paul is survived by one sister, Pat Andazola of Roswell; a brother, Mark Venturo of Arizona; nieces, Jennifer and Kimberly Andazola of Roswell, Amalia Andazola, of Portales and Victoria Venturo of Roswell; great nephew, Tommy; great-niece, Sara; a nephew, Jonathan Venturo of Roswell; brother-in-law, Rudy Andazola, son, Candido, and daughter, Adriana, all of Roswell; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins all over the United States; and many loving caring friends. Paul was a successful thoroughbred racehorse trainer for many years traveling all over the country. His passion was in Harley Davidson Motorcycles/Trikes; riding, building, and painting. Paul’s many accomplishments include: countless awards and trophies from bike rallies all over the country, being featured in the centerfold of Easyriders Magazine in November 2000 and March 2002, and winning 1st place at Sturgis August 13, 1999. Paul was beloved brother, uncle, and friend. He had a way with words and could put a smile on anyone’s face. He was always there for others and helped with open arms. His smile and his laughter will be missed the most. We will never forget his stories as he always told them with such enthusiasm. He was as strong as an ox but had the softest heart. Paul was a legend to all who knew him and he will not be forgotten. He lives on through his accomplishments and in the hearts of his loved ones. Enjoy your ride in the sky; we’ll see you later, Uncle D. The family would like to give a special thanks to Kasey and Melissa Forrest and Carl Collins for being there for Paul and the family. All their love, support, and help throughout this difficult time is greatly appreciated. We would also like to thank Vista Care Hospice, his hospice nurse, Ramona, the staff at NMDOL, and all his other friends and family. His passing is a tremendous loss to his family, friends, as well as to the Harley community. Visitation will be from 5-6 pm Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006 at the funeral home. Memorial services will be at 1 pm Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Newton officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
