Obituary for Randall Seiler Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008, at Church on the Move 901 W. Brasher Road, for Randy Seiler, age 52, of Roswell who passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Burial will follow the services at South Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home on Friday, March 7, 2008, from 5-8 pm. Randy was born April 17, 1955 in Grant, Nebraska to Jacob and Ruth Seiler. His father and step father, Albert Bushkovski, preceded him in death. Randy is a 1973 graduate of North Denver High School, attended Colorado NW Community College in Rangeley, CO, and earned his Bachelors Degree in 1977 and Masters Degree in 1982 from Adams State College in Alamosa, CO. Randy and Julie Haney were married on June 9, 1984, in Denver, CO. Randy was a Speech/Language Pathologist for RISD for nineteen years. He also taught Driver’s Education for the school district. He coached football and baseball at Goddard High School. Randy was an active outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing. He had all his own reloading equipment and taught his friends how to reload shells. He loved sports, particularly baseball. He earned his college scholarship in baseball as a pitcher. He has passed his love of sports onto his son and coached his son’s little league basketball and baseball teams. Thanks to Danny Herrera, Randy was able to continue coaching even when he was ill. Randy had many special friends. His devoted friends, Jed Dill and Bob Santangelo, were always there for him. Special thanks to Dr. Adajar, Debbie Jordan, and the staff at the N. M. Heart Institute, as well as Dr. Fenzi, Nancy Parsons, Denise Arias and the staff of Aztec Medical for their unending care. The family also appreciated the wonderful care Randy received in the Critical Care Unit at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Survivors include, his wife, Julie, daughter, Lyndsay, son, Randy Jr., his mother, Ruth Bushkovski, his brother, Warren and his wife, Rose Anne Seiler. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, Tom and Mary Jane Haney of Denver, CO, brothers and sisters-in-law, Jackie Haney (Julie’s twin), Maureen Field, Tom and Karen Haney, Susan Cossitt, Katy and Bob Machacek, Joan and Tony Papalardo, John and Kathy Haney, Jim and Connie Haney, Mark and Jeanine Haney, and Mary Bonnell, all from the Denver, CO area, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Roswell High School Baseball or Football Booster Clubs. Pallbearers will be Bob Santangelo, Jed Dill, Danny Herrera, Ricky Mullins, Mike Miller, Beau Stone, Scott Schoen, and Billy Quiroz. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Ward, Tom Allen, Ben Eisenbise, Frank Carrillo, and Rocky Rodriguez.
