Raymond Franco passed away peacefully on Monday, May 8, 2017, in Roswell, NM. Viewing will be Thursday, May 11, 2017, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 12, 2017, 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. Raymond was born to Abelardo Franco and Emma Moreno Franco on March 29, 1949, in Roswell, NM. Before retirement, Raymond worked in the upholstery and automotive industry. He married the love of his life, Stella Avitia on April 7, 1967, in Pecos TX. As a devoted father, he was fiercely proud of their three children, spouses & fiancé, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Raymond’s hobbies were anything that included his grandchildren; he loved them more than life itself. “Dear grandfather, Or shall I say dad. How you always made me so glad, I think about everything you have done, and oh how much it was so fun, you always said I could write and just to always put up a good fight, your words to me always meant so much, even though there was never enough, I promise to do right even thought I might feel lost in this life, I'm writing this to just make the light, the darkness of having you gone makes me feel so wrong but I know your far away, away from all the pain, I love you deeply and want you to know you mean the world to me, please Wempo know that you can go and we will be fine, I love you grandpa with all my might.” Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Stella Franco; sons: Raymond Franco Jr. and Fiancé, Tina, Abel Franco and wife, Monica; only daughter, Geneva Franco; grandchildren: Adrian Franco, Sabrina Vallejo, Savannah Franco, Eric Madrid , Alizah Madrid, Josiah Madrid, Isaiah Franco, Arianna Franco, Alyssia Franco, April Franco, Aria Franco; great-grandchildren: Neyamiah Ray, Osiris; brother, Jesse Franco and wife, Belinda; sister, Jane Franco; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins; and most loving pet, Luca. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abelardo Franco and Emma Franco. Pall bearers are: Abel Franco, Raymond Franco Jr, Adrian Franco, Sammy Escobar, Jesse Franco, and Jesse Franco Jr. Dad A dad is a person who's loving and kind, and often he knows what you have on your mind. He's someone who listens, suggests, and defends -- A dad can be one of your very best friends. He's proud of your triumphs, but when things go wrong, A dad can be patient and helpful and strong. In all that you do, a dad's love plays a part-- There's always a place for him deep in your heart-- And each year that passes you're even more glad, More grateful and proud just to call him your dad.
