REBECA A. BORUNDA, 65, was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, peacefully and comfortably in her sleep at her family home in Roswell, NM. SERVICES: There will be a Viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Saturday, July 6, 2019, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. A Rosary will be recited at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Sunday, July 7, 2019, 6:00 PM. A Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Monday, July 8, 2019, 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. On July 28, 1953, Rebeca was born in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Francisco and Concepcion Anchondo. She married her soul mate, Juan Jose Borunda, Sr. on January 10, 1976, in Roswell, NM, who preceded her in death July 28, 2012. Rebeca loved caring for her family and greatly enjoyed working with children in the Roswell Independent School District until her retirement in May 2018. She now joins the love of her life, Juan Jose Borunda Sr, in heavenly eternal love. Rebeca’s spirit, smile, and presence will be dearly missed by her loved ones who look forward to reuniting with her one day in paradise. SURVIVORS: Rebeca leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in her five children: daughter, Elizabeth Ann Allison (Harold Glenn Allison, Jr.), of Ogden, UT, son, Juan Jose Borunda Jr. of Oceanside, CA, Gilberto Borunda Sr. of Roswell, NM, son, Martin Salvador Borunda of Ogden, UT, son, Jesus Miguel Borunda (Leanna Morales) of Ogden, UT; grandchildren: Joshua Casey Kiedaisch, of Ogden UT, Jasmine Malnice Savoy (Trey Savoy) of Quantico, VA, Annikah Mayra Kiedaisch of Ogden, UT, Juan Angel Borunda of Oceanside, CA, Gilbert “Junior” Borunda Jr. of Roswell, NM, Grace Olivia Borunda of Roswell, NM, Gabriel Solomon Borunda of Roswell, NM, Jordan Xavier Borunda of Ogden, UT, Jaiden Alexander Borunda of Ogden, UT; great-grandson, Romeo Enrique Savoy of Quantico, VA; siblings: Ramon Alfonso Anchondo Sr., Rosa Maria Saenz, Jose Anchondo, Jaime Anchondo; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins in the USA and her native country of Mexico; and countless friends, coworkers, and neighbors who adored and respected her friendship. PRECEDED: Preceding Rebeca in death: her spouse, Juan Jose Borunda, Sr.; father, Francisco Anchondo, Sr.; mother, Concepcion Anchondo; brother, Francisco Anchondo, Jr.; and sister, Guadalupe Anchondo.
