Reyes R. Gallegos

Reyes R. Gallegos was born on January 6, 1936 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, to Zeferino O. Gallegos and Josefina R. Gallegos. Reyes went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on February 5, 2015. Pastor Patrick Porras of the Iglesia Apostolica de la Fe en Cristo Jesus will officiate the service, Monday, February 9, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. The family will be accepting visitation throughout the day on Monday, at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. A graveside service will be on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m at South Park Cemetery. There will be a special memorial service on Sunday February 8th at 11:00 am at the Iglesia Apostolica de la Fe en Cristo Jesus at 2600 South Union, Roswell, NM. Reyes R. Gallegos married Delfina Hernandez on May 28, 1960 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua. Reyes R. Gallegos worked at the Ladder Ranch (Sierra County, NM), South Springs Ranch and Circle Diamond Ranch (Chaves County, NM), and the Hondo Oil Co. (Lincoln County, NM) for 55 years, as a ranch hand. Reyes was the definition of a real cowboy. He loved his horses and passed that love on to his children and grandchildren. Reyes was an active member of the Iglesia Apostolica de la Fe en Cristo Jesus in Roswell, NM, where he was Director of the Men’s group of the Church. He was very adamant about the appearance of the Church, assuring that the upkeep of the building and grounds looked appealing to the community. Reyes is survived by his wife Delfina, daughters Loida “Lolly” Perales and husband Arnulfo, and Magda “Magi” Gallegos-Dennis, sons Jose’ Gallegos and wife Rebeca all of Roswell, NM, Eduardo “Eddie” Hernanadez and wife Michelle of Lipan, TX, 10 grandchildren, Michael Rey Gallegos-Chrisman of Midland, TX, Alicia Gallegos Castro and husband Samuel II of Roswell, NM, Ashley Mohr of Iowa, Stephen Chrisman and wife Valerie of Roswell, NM, Maranda Hernandez of Fort Worth, TX, Anthony Perales, Reyes X. Gallegos, Jose’ Zacarias Gallegos, Alonso Z. Perales, Demetrio V. Gallegos, Zeferino Carlos Gallegos and Courtney Hernandez all of Roswell, NM, 4 great grandchildren Samuel U. Castro, Kyren D. Chrisman, Alessa Castro of Roswell, NM and Jade Rodriquez of Fort Worth, TX. Reyes is also survived by his brother Marcos Gallegos and wife Evangelina, of Jal, NM, 3 sisters Olga Mendoza of Dinuva, CA, Zulema Mendoza and husband Nabor of Tucson, AZ, and Eunice Zuniga and husband Antonio of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, and numerous nephews and nieces. Reyes was preceded in death by his parents Zeferino O. Gallegos and Josefina Gallegos, brothers Horacio Gallegos and Benito Gallegos and sister, Emma Gonzalez. A reception will be held at the dining hall of the Iglesia Apostolic de la Fe en Cristo Jesus after the graveside service. The family wants to thank all the members of the Iglesia Apostolica de la Fe en Cristo Jesus for all their prayers and help with the reception.
