Our mother, REYNALDA G. ROMERO passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 10, 2020. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with Reynalda's family at www.andersonbethany.com. SERVICES: A Graveside Service will be held at South Park Cemetery on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at 9:00 AM. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and masks are MANDATORY at Graveside. On June 3, 1932, Reynalda was born in Roswell, New Mexico, to Ramon Gutierrez and Annie Montoya Gutierrez, who preceded her in death. She was the beloved wife of Alfred Romero, whom she married on June 26, 1953, in Deming, New Mexico. Prior to retirement, Reynalda was employed by the Roswell Independent School District as a food service assistant. She loved life, loved people, and adored her family. Reynalda was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known her. SURVIVORS: Those left to eternally cherish and treasure Reynalda's loving memory are her children: Linda Martinez (Jerry), Elaine West (Jon), Olivia Mroczkowski (Wally), and Rick Romero (Gracie); grandchildren: Frankie Salcido (Julie), Melissa Romero (Gary), Jared West, Dr. Stefan Mroczkowski, Mark Mroczkowski, Ricky A. Romero (Samantha), Dominique Romero (Dr. Rose Pavlakos), Gino Romero, Chris Romero, Lisa Medina, numerous great-grandchildren, as well as two great-great-grandchildren. PRECEDED: Reynalda was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Romero; son, Raymond Romero, parents, Raymond Gutierrez and Annie Montoya Gutierrez; and her sister, Cissy Hoogerhuis. HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Honored to serve as Honorary Pallbearers are Johnny Jones, Melissa Romero Rita Ramirez, Jared West, Markie Mroczkowski, Stefan Mroczkowski, Christopher Romero, and Lisa Medina. PALLBEARERS: Blessed to serve as Pallbearers are Frankie Salcido, Gary Romero, Justin Romero, Gino Romero, Ricky Romero, Dominique Romero. The family wants to extend a special "Thank You" to all the staff at the Joy Center, Comfort Keepers, and Mary Elena for all their service. Crossing Over Oh, please don’t feel guilty It was just my time to go. I see you are feeling sad, And the tears just seem to flow. We all come to earth for our lifetime, And for some it’s not many years I don’t want you to keep crying You are shedding so many tears. I haven’t really left you Even though it may seem so. I have just gone to my heavenly home, And I’m closer to you than you know. Just believe that when you say my name, I’m standing next to you, I know you long to see me, But there’s nothing I can do. I’ll still send you messages And hope you understand, That when your time comes to “cross over,” I’ll be there to take you hand.
