Seferino Aldavaz

Seferino Jose Aldavaz, “Sef the rhino” was born on March 12, 1974 and passed away on September 14, 2015. Spending most of his time at home with friends and family, Sef loved being around the people he loved. He was always joking around with everybody. There wasn’t a day that went by that we didn’t see Sef coming through the gate to grandma’s house to see his family. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone and would welcome everybody into his home who needed a place to stay. His nana, Amanda, was number one in his heart. Sef loved her more than anything in this world. Now they are both are looking down together. He was the oldest of his brothers and sisters, but was always his mom’s baby. Brother Angel was his world. Sef you will be missed by many and we will never forget you, we love you. Sef enjoyed football and basketball, being a 49er’s and Laker’s fan. Preceding Sef in death were his great-grandma, Amanda Penda; great-grandfather, Jose Pena; and grandfather, Ernie Cobos; aunt, Elaine Montoya. Those left to carry on his legacy are his daughter, Amanda Aldavaz; sons: Joseph Romero and Seferino Aldavaz Jr.; grandmother, Maria Montoya; sisters: Rena, Precilla and Joanna Pena; and aunts: Peggy Montoya, Edie Montoya and Camilla Samario. Also surviving Sef are his nieces and nephews: Marisela Pena, Mireya Montez, Marissa Aldavaz and Jesiah Aldavaz; special cousin, Ernie Montoya and numerous other cousins. A viewing will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2015, 1:00 to 8:00 PM, at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. A rosary will follow at 7:00 PM. A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, September 21, 2015, 1:00 PM, at St. John the Baptist Church. In Loving Memory If tears could build a stairway, and thoughts a memory lane.
