Terrance Singleton

It is with great sadness that the family of Terence Lamaar Singleton announce his passing on August 5, 2024. He was surrounded by his family that will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Terence was born to Sylvester and Shirley Singleton on August 16, 1969. He graduated from Roswell High School and later earned his bachelor’s degree in human services. Terence met the love of his life, Chrissy and it was love at first sight. They shared a passionate love affair for ice cream and creating memories with his children and grandchildren. They were married on February 14th, 2003. She survives him at the family home. Those left to cherish his memory are his one and only son, Dominique Williams and wife Arlin; his four daughters, Zanae and husband Junior Merrifield, Qiana Singleton, Taniesa Singleton and Joleya Singleton; his ten grandchildren, Kyron, Jaidyn, Neveah, Bella, Eziah, Zayden, Alexander, Zayla, Baby Junior, and Ariah. He’s survived by his Mother Shirley Singleton; sisters Bridgett Wallace, Baisayne Singleton, and Angel Juarez; his brothers Zeke Singleton and Elias Singleton; his Mother-in-law Ruby Gonzales; sister-in-law Kathleen Trujillo and Jolie Horton; brother-in-law JD Gonzales and wife Carmen; and numerous nephews and nieces. Terence is preceded in death by his Father Sylvester Singleton; sister Tanessa Singleton; Grandparents Lonzie and Luerenzie Singleton; Father-in-law David Gonzales; brother-in-law Juan Gonzales and Angel Horton. Terence loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for his loved ones. He was a self-proclaimed comedian and jokester. He kept people rolling in laughter because he could find humor in the most mundane circumstances. He reminded the nurses and aides daily that he was waiting for payment for the free shows he was giving out at the hospital. He loved showing off his dance moves to his many family and friends. Terence talked to God everyday and spoke of his faith in God. He knew God would carry him home for he walked by faith not by sight. He was loved by all, and his legacy will live on in our hearts forever. The memorial service for our beloved Terence Lamaar Singleton will be held at Anderson Bethany funeral home located at 2609 S Main St, Roswell NM on Sunday August 18, 2024, beginning with a Rosary at 1:30pm. Pastor Reuben Dixon will officiate the mass, followed by a celebration of Terence’s life at 1721 SE Main.
