Obituary for Wendell Glenn Tyler Wendell Glenn Tyler, 57, of Midway passed away Monday, December 31, 2007. He lost his ten year long battle with heart disease in a Lubbock, Texas hospital. Glenn was born on May 2, 1950 in Roswell to J. D. Tyler and Lavern Scates Tyler; his parents survive his at the family home in Midway. Glenn is also survived by his daughter, Georgina Kyle and her husband, Ed; five grandchildren; three brothers, Karl Tyler and his wife, Kathy of Roswell, Derwin Tyler and his wife, Tammy of Missouri, and Curtis Tyler of Midway; two sisters, Mildred Underwood and her husband, Keith of Tishomingo, OK and Reba Moffett and her husband, Jim of Dexter, NM; six nephews, Weldon and Allen Frazier of Tishomingo, OK and Jason, Brandon, Mark, and Scott of Dexter; and three nieces, Kimberly Corn, Lynell Scott, and Melissa King of Roswell. Glenn worked in carpentry, owning a cabinet shop at one time, working in Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona, was a mobile home mover, but his favorite job of all was being a working cowboy. Glenn was featured on the cover of “cowboy Magazine” cutting cattle on his favorite horse. Glenn had several hobbies, such as hunting, and trout fishing. As soon as Lake Van was stocked with trout, you would find Glenn sitting on the dock with his fishing pole in hand. He was crazy about playing dominoes and was a tough domino foe with his family and friends. Glenn’s absolute favorite hobby of all was reading, especially western novels by Louis L’Amour and Zane Grey. He was a Pentecostal and gave his life to Jesus and is in heaven waiting for us. A memorial service for Glenn will be held at 2 pm Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, in the One-Eighty Building at Church on the Move. Glenn was cremated as were his wishes.
