Celebrating the Life of Yolanda Rodriguez Talavera It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yolanda Rodriguez Talavera, on Friday, September 13, 2024, at her home in Roswell, NM, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on May 7, 1953, in Carlsbad, NM to Fidel Rodriguez and Augustina Martinez. Yolanda brought joy, love and comfort to everyone around her. A service to honor Yolanda's life will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 1 1 am, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church located at 2915 S Union Avenue in Roswell, NM. Interment will follow at the South Park Cemetery located at 3101 S Main Street. Food and refreshments will be provided after at the church for those who wish to join the family. Yolanda was known for her strength, love of Christ, faith, love for her family, and her passion for cooking. In her early years, she attended school in Artesia, NM and then moved to Roswell, NM which later became her permanent residence. Prior to retirement, Yolanda worked as a server and administrative assistant for many years and was known for being a hardworking and dedicated employee. She married Eduardo Talavera on November 5, 2011, in Ruidoso, NM. She was a devoted member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Ruidoso, NM and was a woman of profound faith. She loved spending time with all her family, especially her children and grandchildren, and she loved cooking for all of them. She enjoyed traveling and seeing new and exciting places, and most of all she loved spreading the Gospel and love of Christ to all. Her unwavering faith was an inspiration to all who knew her and will continue to have an everlasting impact on their lives. She had a smile, laugh, and presence that lit up every room she entered and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Yolanda's legacy of faith, love, and kindness will live on in our hearts Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Yolanda are her husband Eduardo Talavera; stepfather Manuel Amesqua, her children; Elizabeth Molina and husband Theodoro, Johnny Navarrete and wife Daniella, Vanessa Soza and boyfriend Erick M., Michael Soza and wife Erika, Debralynn Fernandez and husband Nathanuel, Nathaniel Talavera, Angel Talavera and stepson Daniel Talavera; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings; Lorina and Eddie, as well as many loving family and friends. Yolanda was preceded in death by her mother, Augustina Amesqua, father, Fidel Rodriquez, brothers Sammy and Andy, sister Julie Gonzales, brother-in-law Pedro Gonzales, son Francisco Navarrette Ill, and grandson Taylor Navarrette Privileged to serve as Pallbearers are; Johnny Navarrette, Michael Soza, Theodoro Molina, Nathanuel Fernandez, Javin Molina, and Daniel Talavera. Honorary Pallbearers are Francisco Navarrette Ill & Taylor Navarrette. The Family of Yolanda Talavera wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and employees at Kymera Independent Physicians, nurses of EnHabit Home Health, the members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Roswell and Ruidoso, and the Pastors and members of Church on the Move.
