Anthony “Tony” Linares, 50, of Roswell, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in Roswell. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory. A rosary will be recited at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 9:30 am, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. Tony was born July 30, 1971, to Felipe and Margie Linares in Roswell. He graduated from University High School. Tony was very beloved by everyone. He always had snacks for the kids and never met a stranger and was Roswell’s Handyman. His nickname was MoDaca because he was ‘mo darker than you! Tony will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Stefane Linares; Savanah Kilness “My WIttle Angel”, Jaidyn Linares “My Thon”, Jacob Linares “The rest of it”. Siblings, Rick Linares, Nancy (Alvino) Herrera Esther Linares and Mike “Babe” Serna and Margie “Weezie” Linares “The Spoiled One”. He adored his numerous nieces and nephews. Tony was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parent’s and his nephew Ezekeial “Paco” Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers are Albert “Tito” Tegeda, Mark Granado, Robert Castillo, Johnny Castillo, Bernie Martinez and Ray Vale and his numerous nieces and nephews. The family of Tony wishes to extend special thanks to his hospice nurse Maureen, Judy Portio and his sister Nancy Herrera who has provided lifelong guidance and support and Tito for taking him on his last walk.
