Eladio Macias Ruiz

Eladio Macias Ruiz, 75, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in Roswell, New Mexico. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. On October 11, 1946, Eladio was born to Julia Macias and Anacleto Ruiz in Colonia Dublan, Chihuahua He was known to friends and family as “El Panadero”, (The Baker), and known to his grandkids as “Papa or Granpo”. Eladio owned and operated La Tapatia Bakery for over 17 years before retiring. He was known for always lending a helping hand and giving to those in need. To this day, many people share stories of when he operated the bakery, he provided either money or food to them when in need. Eladio, enjoyed making up his own songs and singing them to his grandchildren. He was always smiling and enjoyed making people laugh. He enjoyed visiting and reminiscing with his friends under the big tree in the front yard. He took pride in his gardening; his kids would tell him he had a green thumb because he could bring anything back to life. He spent many countless hours in his back yard, with his buddy, Apollo, his dog. He also, enjoyed collecting everything and anything he could add to his collection of items in his cuartito. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Nellie Ruiz; daughter: Marizol Mendoza and husband Joe Mendoza; sons: Valente Ruiz and wife Rosie Ruiz, Lalito Ruiz and wife Lori Ruiz; Sisters; Dolores Renteria and Bertha Ruiz, Brothers: Mario Ruiz and Marcelo Macias, grandchildren; Joseph and Mireya Mendoza, Valente, Chris and Monique Ruiz, Avram and Aalam Ruiz, and Sabrina Romero, Great grandchildren; Alazea Ruiz, Avianna Archuleta, Azeena Rodriquez, Luano Pacheco, and Kason Mendoza; as well as many numerous nieces and nephews. Eladio is preceded in death by his mother, Julia Macias Ruiz; father Anacleto Ruiz, brothers; Alfonso Ruiz, Rafael Macias, and Cleto Ruiz, sister: Lorenza Alvarez Pallbearers are Valente Ruiz, Lalito Ruiz, Joe Mendoza, Joseph Mendoza, Valente Ruiz Jr., and Chris Ruiz Honorary Pallbearers are Avram and Aalam Ruiz, Mireya Mendoza, Monique Ruiz, Sabrina Romero, Alizea Ruiz, Avianna Archuleta, Azeena Rodriquez, Luano Pacheco, and Kason Mendoza A viewing is to be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Tuesday November 9, 2021, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 10, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home, with Ken Davis of 7th Day Adventist, officiating.
