Garland Roy Berg

Services for Garland Roy Berg, 65, of Roswell will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Danny Sons officiating. Burial to follow at South Park Cemetery. Family will be accepting visitation Friday, August 1, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Garland went to meet our Lord and Savior, July 29th, at 5:00 AM, with his loving wife Gwen by his side.

Garland was born September 18, 1948 in Roswell, NM to Albert Cleo Berg and Gladys Faye Hamrick. Garland married Gwendolyn Elaine Pyeatt in Arlington, TX on July 2, 1966. Heaven has truly gained a wonderful man; a husband, Dad & Papa. Auto mechanic by trade. Owner of Bergs Alternator. Passionate woodworker. You ask and he would build you anything. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting trips, lake outings with his boat and family time. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren to be around.

Garland is survived by his wife, Gwen of 48 years, whom they met and fell madly in love with one another 51years ago; son, Garland Troy Berg and wife Harmony of Amarillo, TX; daughter, Teresa Elaine Albrejera and husband Edward of Seattle Washington; brothers, Jerry Berg and wife, Ann; James Berg and a sister, Judy Villeneuve and partner Dave Alexander, all of Roswell, NM.; 5 grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan Kristian Berg of Albuquerque, NM; Kaelauni Romero her husband SSG. Miguel Romero of Fort Stewart GA; Mason Lucero of Roswell NM; five great grandchildren, Mercedez Berg, Taylor Berg, Adalyn, Kenzie, Alana Romero. Along with many family members and friends, he will truly be missed by all and certainly never forgotten.

Garland was preceded in death by his parents, Albert C. Berg and Gladys F. Hamrick; and a brother, Calvin Berg.

Pallbearers are Tommy Parker, Chris Villeneuve, Chad Villeneuve, Kenny Thompson, Clint Haider, Ed Yurkovish.

Honorary pallbearers are all his good friends.
