December 24, 1940 - June 9, 2022

Gloria Faye Palmer Shultz, 81, passed away on June 9, 2022, in Roswell, NM. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with Sue’s family at www.andersonbethany.com. SERVICES: There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, July 8, 2022, 10:00 am, at the 16th and Pile Church of Christ in Clovis, NM, with Michael Harmon officiating. On December 24, 1940, Gloria Faye (Sue) Palmer was born to Theodore Roosevelt Palmer and Annie Mae (Ashley) Palmer in Clovis, NM. She attended Clovis High School, where she graduated in 1959. Sue married James Hollis Shultz on December 31, 1958, in Clovis, NM. She was a member of the Stoney Point Church of Christ congregation in Florence, AL. Sue and Hollis traveled extensively and they lived in many places before moving to Florence, AL, last year. They have formed life-long friendships with many people across the country over their 63 1/2 years of marriage, and Sue will be dearly missed by her family and friends. SURVIVORS: Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Sue are her spouse, James Hollis Shultz of Florence, Alabama; daughter, Rayne and son-in-law Rene Moya of Roswell, NM; son, Steven and daughter-in-law Robin Shultz of Bethlehem, GA; grandsons: Jeremy Moya of Tulsa, OK and Jonathan Moya of Carlsbad, NM; granddaughters: Maegan and spouse Blake Williamson of Bethlehem, GA, and Elizabeth Shultz of Bethlehem, GA; great-granddaughter, Rosie Williamson of Bethlehem, GA; sisters-in-law: RaDonna Snipes of Clovis, NM, Marlene Essex of Clovis, NM, and Carolyn Rose of Coral Gables, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. PRECEDED: Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Annie Palmer; stepfather, Raymond Leroy Bryant; brother, Wesley Paul (Butch) Palmer; sister, Sherry Lou; and brother-in-law, James Louis Bunce. Sue’s tribute was beautifully written in her honor by her family.
