Horace was born on January 22, 1977, in Roswell, New Mexico, to Horace Lee and Linda Reese. He was always willing or help others when needed. Horace attended Roswell High School and graduated in 1995. As a fun-loving person, he was devoted to his family and all his friends. He loved spending time with his daughters and the rest of the family. During the spring and summer, Horace kept busy growing his grass and preparing his beautiful gardens. Both he and his beautiful daughters entered so many veggies into the fair, winning first and second place ribbons. Horace Jr. was devoted to coaching soccer at RYSA. He enjoyed playing soccer with his girls and with his teams that he coached. In his spare time, He enjoyed going and watching monster trucks and NASCAR with his daughter, Deaveon. He was a member of the Union for the City of Roswell. Horace Jr. attended Church on the Move where he enjoyed singing praise and worship. He worked at Subway North and South for a matter of time, and then became a respectful employee for the City of Roswell, 23 years working for the parks, wastewater, and street departments. He was a very dedicated employee. Horace Jr. also played Hike it and Spike it, Gus Macker, and Semi Pro Football. DJing was something he enjoyed in his spare time, but most of all he just enjoyed spending time with his family, playing soccer, going fishing, gardening, playing bingo with his dad and brother, going to the casino with his mom, sister, and Fiancé, and especially helping others when needed. Little Horace was a diehard Denver Bronco’s and Lakers fan. Horace’s tribute was lovingly written by his sister Angela. (The following are three poems dedicated to Mr. Reese Jr.) A silent Tear Just close your eyes and you will see All the memories that you have of me Just and relax and you will find I’m really there inside your mind Don’t’ cry for me now I’m gone For I am in the land of suns There is no Pain, there is no fear. So dry away that silent tear Don’t think of me in the dark and cold For here I am, no longer will I fold I’m in that place that’s filled with love Known to you all as up above. -Love you always and forever, your family To Our Brother We ran and played and shared our toys How we remember childhood joys. We shared a home with Mom and Dad, These memories now make us glad. We looked toward you when times were bad. You have seen our face when it was sad. We see each other less these days, but You’ll be close to us always. We love you brother from the start The ties that bind are in the heart! -Love always your sisters and brother Death of a loved one Sad are the hearts that love Silent are the tears that fall Living here without you Is the hardest part of all You did so many things for us Your heart was kind and true And when we needed someone We could always count on you. The special years will not return When we are all together But with the love in our hearts You walk with us forever
