On Thursday June 3rd, 2021, Jessica “Jess” Yvonne Erives, surrounded by her family, went to be with our Lord, at the age of 42. She was born on May 6th, 1979 in Roswell to Jack Sr. and Mary Gustamantes. She graduated with honors from Dexter High School and continued on to college at ENMU-Roswell. On October 1st, 2007, she married Tomas Erives and they were blessed with two children, Santiago (Chago) and Elisa (Tita) Erives. She was also blessed to be a stepmother and grandmother to Marisella and her children Alyah, Giovani, and Jasmine, Mercedes and her children Zephaniah and Jerimiah, Tommy Jr and Nayali. She is survived not only by her parents, and her family, but by her siblings: Rose and Joseph “Jojo” Cobos (Sr) and their children Justice and Dario and their children Adrian and Christian, Alizia and Johnny, and Joseph Jr. Brother Jack (Jr) and Emily and their children Nina, Frankie, Emmy, Jack III Brother Michael and his children Ebony and Quin and their children Ella and Logan, Michael jr., JR, Nathaniel, Xavier. Her Mother-in-law Andrea Erives, Sister-in-law Elisa and Steve and her son Jesus and Yesenia and their son Ezequiel and Jessette, her daughters Jessenia and Alejandra. Brother-in-law Sergio, his children Sergio Jr, Christian, Isabella Brother-in-law Victor and Ebony and their children Victor, Angelica, Yasmine, and Yvette Jessica’s is also survived by her maternal grandparents Pastor Charlie and Isabel Medina. She had many aunts, uncles, and cousins. One cousin she considered a sister- Donica Ramirez. Her family was her life. She shared her life with so many and along the way she had some close friends: Miranda, Teri, Tamara, Jessica and Toni and many more. She also considered her furry friends’ family: Khloe, Lamar and Poopy and Siri which she dog sat often. One of Jessica’s favorite roles in life was an administrative role she held at Superior Ambulance in Roswell, which is where she met co-workers who became close friends. She always went above and beyond to keep in touch and help in any way possible, not only her family but everyone who came into her life. Jessica is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Richard and Susie Gustamantes, Maternal Great Grandparents Carlos, and Lupe (mamalupe) Medina, Uncles Mack Medina, Joe Sanchez, Ruben Medina, Sonny Gustamantes, Aunts Olivia Sylvas, Arlene Medina and Pat Herrera, Cousins Fabian and Gilbert Gustamantes She was a member of her Maternal Grandfather’s Church: Temple Gethsemani Church in Roswell. She loved spending time with her family, especially on the cruise the family took in 2019. When able, she enjoyed traveling to Colorado to spend time with all our family’s friends’, she loved to go shopping, and go watch the family fish. She took pride in loving all in her life, especially all the children of the family. She also enjoyed playing with her dogs. She also loved cooking (at times) and loved to experiment. Jessica loved very much to hang with her mom and go spend time and eat with her at Midway Café where Martha (a dear family friend) cooked it up for them, she appreciated the friendliness at the café. A service is scheduled at Anderson and Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory 2609 South Main Street in Roswell on Friday June 25th, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. A special thank you to: Superior Ambulance, Roswell firefighters, Carrie Flury PA-C, Dr. Arajuo-Mino, Nurses Maureen, and Brenda.
