On November 15, 1962, in Odessa, Texas, Jesus “Jesse” Jacobo Jr. came into this world and met his parents, Jesus Cabrera Jacobo Sr. and Manuela Palomino Jacobo. He was blessed with a full life for fifty-eight years until he was called home after bravely battling liver disease. Jesus Christ, Our Lord, and Savior, came to take a loving son, husband, father, and Appo by the hand in the early hours of a Sunday, morning on February 21, 2021. All gathered to welcome and celebrate Jesse’s eternal life by their side is his beautiful daughter, Jerika LuRee Jacobo, baby grandson Anthony Raymond Jacabo, loving father Jesus Cabrera Jacobo Sr., mother-in-law Hazel “Fuddie” Trujillo, as well as many dear family and friends. Friends and family are welcome to attend a casual come and go gathering at 902 Lusk, Roswell, NM, on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at 3:00 PM. Food donations are accepted. Thirty-three years ago, on June 20, 1987, Jesse vowed to love and cherish Gina Jacobo in the presence of family and friends at St. Peters Catholic Church. The first words that Jesse spoke after signing the marriage certificate were, “I Love You Gina Jacobo,” which were also his very last words to her. His devoted wife, Gina, will forever cherish those words. Those left to cherish Jesse’s memory are his loving wife, Gina Jacobo; son, John (Jonny) Paul and wife Jessica Jacobo; daughter, Jozi Rae Jacobo; adored grandchildren: Izabelle “Bella” Jacobo, Diego Villa, Azrialle “Gummy” Jacobo, Izreal “ Oddy Boy” Jacobo, Ezariaha “Eensie” Jacobo, John Jacobo Jr, and Alondra Jacobo; mother, Manuela Palomino Jacobo; brothers: Ruben Jacobo of Odessa TX, Enrique Jacobo and wife Carmen of Odessa TX, Celestino Cisneros of Roswell NM, and Larry Jacobo and wife Olga of Odessa TX; sisters: Maria Munoz and husband George of Odessa TX, Celia Rubio and husband Albert of Roswell NM, Mary Nicholson of Roswell NM, Priscilla Jacobo and Ernie Orona of Roswell NM, and Gracie Jacobo-Smyth and James Yow of Las Vegas NV; brothers-in-law: Benjamin Garcia and Gina Lomeli of San Diego California, Garbiel Garcia and wife Pamela of Roswell NM, Milo Garcia and wife Bernice of Roswell NM; sister-in-law, Paula Garcia and Adam Arenivas; as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews he loved so much. Jesse enjoyed fishing, painting model cars, woodwork, and spending time with his loved ones. His most memorable moments were the times he spent with his grandchildren, they were the apple of his eye. Jesse was dearly loved and will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. Preceding Jesse in death are his father, Jesus Cabrera Jacobo; daughter, Jerika LuRuee Jacobo, grandson, Anthony Jacobo; mother-in-law, Hazel “Fuddie” Trujillo, and many dear family and friends. A Rosary for Jesse will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 111 E. Deming, Roswell, NM, on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. Those blessed to serve as Honorary Pallbearers are Ruben Jacobo, Terrance Singleton, Ty Lem, George Munoz, Andres Jacobo, Albert Rubio, Ernie Orona, James Yow. Those honored to serve as Pallbearers are Enrique Jacobo, Celestino Cisneros, Larry Jacobo, Benjamin Garcia, Gabriel Garcia, and Milo Garcia. Immediately following the services, friends, and family will gather at the Ponderosa located at 1600 E. Poe.
