September 10, 1957 - October 12, 2021
With deep sadness, our family must say goodbye to an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Jimmy Ray Clements, 64, passed away on October 12, 2021 in Roswell, New Mexico. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on November 5, 2021 at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. Jimmy was a man of many talents, and those talents began here in Roswell. Jimmy was born to Johnny and Margarite Clements on September 10, 1957. He attended Flora Vista Elementary, Mesa Middle School, and graduated from El Paso High School. On June 16, 1978, Jimmy enlisted in the United States Army where he served as a tank gunner crewman. After his service, he returned to Roswell where he met the love of his life, Tracey. Together they shared 33 loving years and raised a family. During that time, Jimmy worked at TMC, and then later the Roswell Independent School District where he further enhanced his love of nature and working outdoors. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Tracey Clements and six wonderful children and their spouses: Monte Clements, Annette Clements, Randy Clements, Micheal Coffing (Dina Coffing), Katherine Sundstrom (Robbie Carabajal), and Jimmy Clements (Jordan Clements). He is survived by additional joys in his life--his grandchildren: Breanna Brown, Meaghan Brown, Tyler Brown, Jamie Coffing, Micheal Coffing, Mia Coffing, Israel Huerta, Isaiah Huerta, Jaiden Martinez, Brody Carabajal, Madyson Sopher, Dylan Van Winkle, Autumn Van Winkle, Randy Clements Jr., Isaiah Clements, Elijah Clements, and Alexander Clements. He was blessed with 5 great-grandchildren as well. A sister, Terry Clements, and a brother, Robert Clements, both of whom shared many memorable childhood moments, survive Jimmy. In addition, Jimmy is survived by his nieces and nephews Christopher Franco, Brandie Medrano, Jena Becerra, and Shane Coffing, sister-in-law Tara Coffing, and close friends David Wolfe, Bennie Aranda, and Augustin Tarin. All survivors consider themselves champions of his memory. Jimmy was a fan of laughter and making people laugh. He loved spending time with his family and friends, riding his Harley Davidson, and cooking. Thanksgiving was his favorite holiday, and he took great delight in preparing a large, celebratory meal for his family, friends, and loved ones. He enjoyed working outside in his yard, taking care of his grass, flowers, trees, and plants, and sharing his knowledge of the outdoors with whoever asked. He often said that mowing grass was very relaxing for him. He will be greatly missed and remains forever in our hearts.
