On January 22, 1940, Vicente was born to Bernardino Fuentez and Louisa Mendoza in Roswell, New Mexico, where he lived for many years. Prior to retirement, he worked for New Mexico Military Institute. Vicente’s greatest joy in life was driving around visiting friends and family, drinking a “Natural Light” beer in his blue truck. He loved each and every one of us and was the most kind-hearted man that we all know and will miss terribly. We love Gramps! Vicente had a good sense of humor and shared a few laughs with his friends and loved ones. Perhaps more than anything, Vicente will be remembered for his favorite sayings such as: “Right On Cacheton!” and “A La Cuna!” telling his grandkids they weren’t worth two pennies. (While flipping them off.), and “Now You’re Cooking With Grease!” SURVIVORS: Those left to cherish memories of Vicente are his son, Leroy Fuentez Sr; daughter, Beatrice F.
