Byllie Porter

Byllie Porter was called home by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 14, 2015. She was born Byllie Joanne Beeler to James Beeler and Ruth Kerns, on October 19, 1940. She met and married her friend and soulmate Darrel Porter, together raising a daughter, Donna Porter, who was extremely talented and dedicated, and numerous dogs and cats. Byllie was a dedicated worker with auto dealerships before she transitioned, quite successfully, to the banking business. Her love for her family, animals, friends and church and her new life living with her brother, along with Byllie's friend and confidant Kathie, kept her alive and extremely motivated to keep living. She would do anything she could to help the people she knew and loved. Byllie went on to find our Heavenly Father with the help of her eternal friends, Janis, Kelly and her Bible Study Class at Bethel Baptist Church. Byllie’s faith was stronger than life itself, as she found out more and more through her friends and Church family. After dealing with various medical issues the Lord saw her suffering and ended her continual fight and internal drive to keep going, by giving Byllie the rest she deserves. Byllie and her brother had the opportunity to reunite with each other, roam New Mexico taking pictures and seeing sights she had always wanted to see. “Byll, you had a successful full life and you were always there when needed whether by friends or family. A true pleasure to be around, you will be terribly missed and always remembered by all who knew you. May you finally rest in peace. We love you and thank you, for who you were!” Preceding Byllie in death were her husband Darrel; daughter, Donna Porter; and parents. Those left to carry on Byllie’s legacy are her brother, David Beeler, of Roswell, NM; and nephew, Patrick Beeler, (son of David) of St. Louis, Missouri. As per Byllie’s wishes, there will not be a service, cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice, in Byllie’s name.
