Christine Elizabeth Greene (Christy) passed away August 28, 2024, in Roswell, New Mexico at the age of 54. A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory in Roswell, NM. There will be a Graveside Service on September 5, 2024, at 2 p.m., at South Park Cemetery, Roswell, NM, Tim Arlet will be officiating. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the Faith.” Christy was born September 16, 1969, to Frank and Charlotte (Vaughn) Greene in Powell River, BC, Canada. She attended high school in Hillsboro, Oregon where she graduated. After high school, she attended school and became a Medical Assistant. She worked at Oregon Health and Science University, and other medical clinics in the Portland, Oregon area. It was at this time that her daughter, Danielle Greene, was born. Christy enjoyed work in the medical field and decided to pursue further education to become a nurse. In 1999 she moved to Silver City, NM to attend the Nursing program and WNMU. After a year of school, she began having health issues. Those left to cherish memories of Christy are her daughter, Danielle Greene, of Roswell; her parents: Frank and Charlotte Greene, of Roswell; her brother, Jason and his wife Mary of Kansas City, MO; her brother, Payton Vaughn Greene; nephews: Oscar, Max, Linus, Charles, Frankie, Becket and Theodore Greene; nieces: Gemma, Magdalene and Charlotte Greene; uncles: Charles Greene, Ronnie O. Vaughn Sr, and Curtis Vaughn; aunts: Hazel Greene, Sherry Garcia, Patty Purcell, Mary Vaughn and Cindy Vaughn; and her many cousins and their families that she loved dearly. The family of Christy Greene wishes to extend sincere thanks to all her caretakers at Mission Arch Care Center, her home for the past 10 years, Gentiva Hospice staff in these last months of care, and her visiting angels, Ann Johnson, Sue Arnold and Connie Franklin. She truly loved you all. Remember me in the smallest of things. In the petals on flowers, in butterfly wings. Think of me in your everyday. When you feel alone, when you sit down to pray.
