Daniel Herrera

Our Lord took Daniel Raul Herrera, aka, Youngster, to dance in heaven with his sister, on June 4, 2015. He was born on February 27, 1989, to Michelle Herrera and Gabriel Delgado, who survive him. On February 12, 2015, he married his wife, Arianna, with her he has a child on the way and also had three step-children that he claimed as his own. Daniel left behind two very special nieces, Ahnesia Pena and Jolissa Aldaz; who called him brother. Preceding him in death were his sister, Chasity Pena, on September 22, 2013; primo, Vato Lucero; and uncle, Tio Sonny Herrera. Those left to carry on Daniel’s legacy are his daughter, Kiana Gonzales; maternal grandparents, Henry and Rose Herrera; uncle, Hachie Herrera; aunts: Delicia Herrera and husband Robert, Yvette Martinez and husband LeRoy, Martha Luna and husband Artie and Theresa Herrera. Also surviving Daniel are his paternal grandparents, Raul G Delgado, Josie Madrid and husband Samuel; step-mother, Henrietta Delgado; step-sisters: Sabrina Tesillo, Dominique Chavez, April Sosa, Valarie Salinas, and Joquelive Duran; step-brother, John Gabriel Delgado; two special people, David Cortez and Joe Pena; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Our Daniel was a very special person to all of us and to all who knew him. He never met a stranger or did not ever forget you once he met you. Daniel loved his grandparents, Rose and Bo, with all his heart. He loved giving them kisses and messing up Grandma’s hair. Being with family was his favorite past-time, laughing, sharing memories or just chilling with his homies. Daniel enjoyed cruising all over C.T.R. in his cuttie. The family had been all together for a bar-b-que on Sunday, before he went missing. There was never a dull moment when Daniel was around; he made sure to put a smile on your face even on your worst days. Daniel did miss his sister dearly and often talked about wanting to see her again. We never knew it would be this soon, but we are sure, she had her arms opened and welcomed him home with a smile. We know now they are together, dancing, singing and laughing in a place where there is no more pain, hurt or worries. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, June 15, 2015, 7:00 PM, at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. A Mass is scheduled on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, 10:00 AM, at St. John’s Catholic Church.
