David Ruiz, 45, passed away on April 22, 2026, in Roswell, NM. David was born on June 8, 1980 to Elias and Maria Ruiz in Roswell, NM. He attended Goddard High School where he played football and then went to University High School where he graduated in 1999. Visitation will occur at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home chapel in Roswell on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM. A rosary will follow at 6:00 PM. A mass will be held at St. John’s at 10:00 AM on Tuesday May 5, 2026, and burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. He was the proud dad to Roman and Aaralynn (Monkey) and did all he could for them up until his last moments in this earth. Not a day went by that he didn’t do his best to be the best dad to them. They both know how much he loved them in his own way. David was a man of many trades and worked with various companies throughout his life. His last place of employment was at L & F Distributors as a relief truck driver, where he had the privilege to work with Roman. He loved his Tampa Bay Buccaneers and sported them everywhere he could. He enjoyed cooking and grilling, wrestling and of course traveling was his life. He was very social and was not a stranger to nobody. He met a lot of people everywhere he went and he will be greatly missed. Surviving David are his only son, Roman David Ruiz, his only daughter, Aaralynn Alyssa Ruiz, and his adopted daughter, Valeria Willow Perez. His dad, Elias Ruiz. His brothers and sister-inlaws, Adrian and Veronica Ruiz, Alan Ruiz, and Carlos Ruiz and Angelica Leyva. His sister and brother-in-law, Luz Maria Meza and Joey Rayos and family. He was the proud Tio to Artemio Jr. and his wife Dominique, Brianna Lee, Arianna, Marianna, Alyanna, Adri, and Romio Ruiz. He was also the proud great uncle to Adonis, Eli, and Olivia Ruiz and Ilianna Valenzuela. He leaves behind his pets, Karmine, CJ and Rocky. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, and cousins from all around and many friends whom he shared many memories with. He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Ruiz, his brother Artemio Ruiz, and both paternal and maternal grandparents. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Adrian Ruiz, Alan Ruiz, Carlos Ruiz, Artemio Ruiz Jr., Bonifacio Salcido, Aaron Gonzalez, Joaquin Serrano Jr., Robert Mendoza, Ryan Martin and Frank Beeton. Le sobreviven su único hijo, Román David Ruiz; su única hija, Aaralynn Alyssa Ruiz; y su hija adoptiva, Valeria Willow Pérez. Su padre, Elías Ruiz. Sus hermanos y cuñadas, Adrián y Verónica Ruiz, Alan Ruiz, y Carlos Ruiz y Angélica Leyva. Su hermana y cuñado, Luz Maria Meza y Joey Rayos, y su familia. Fue un Tío orgulloso de Artemio Jr. y su esposa Dominique, Brianna Lee, Arianna, Marianna, Alyanna, Adri y Romio Ruiz. También fue un orgulloso Tío abuelo de Adonis, Eli y Olivia Ruiz, y Ilianna Valenzuela. Deja atrás a sus mascotas, Karmine, CJ y Rocky. También le sobreviven muchos tíos, tías y primos de todas partes, así como muchos amigos con quienes compartió muchos recuerdos. Le precedieron en la muerte su madre, María Ruiz; su hermano, Artemio Ruiz; y sus abuelos paternos y maternos.
