Delfina Chairez Gutirriez

Beloved mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and grand-daughter, Delfina A. Chairez was sent to be with the angels in heaven on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the young age of 44. She was born on February 29, 1972 in Roswell, New Mexico to Pedro and Patsy Gutierrez Aguilera. She lived in the Dexter-Midway area for all of her life. Delfina was a loving mother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin and phenomenal friend. She enjoyed spending her time listening to music, dancing, talking with friends and most of all caring for her boys. She will always be remembered for her devotion to her family, friends and her co-workers. She also will be remembered as a kind hearted, humorous person who had an infectious smile. Delfina “Fina” worked for Leprino Foods for approximately 5 years in the processing department. She was well liked by her co-workers and she will be greatly missed. Prior to working for Leprino, she was employed by Impact Confections for many years. Her hard work and dedication at both facilities will be remembered by all. She is preceded in death by her mother, Patsy Gutierrez Aguilera, and grandmother, Virginia Martinez Banda. Delfina is survived by her pride and joy, her sons, Benito “Benz” Chairez Jr. and girlfriend Jesara Lopez, Sergio Chairez, and Isaac Chairez. She is also survived the boy’s father Benito Chairez Sr., mother-in-law, Paola Carrasco Chairez, brother/sister-in-law Juan and Veronica Chairez and their children, Richard, Freddie, Veronica, Paola, and Javier. Her father, Pedro Aguilera, her grandfather, Francisco Banda, brother Pedro Aguilera Jr. and his wife Rebecca and son, Esteban also survive her. Additionally, numerous aunts and uncles including: Ernesto Gutierrez, his daughter, Virginia “Gina” Gutierrez, and son Esteban Gutierriez of Kentucky. Yolanda and Miguel Rodriguez, their daughters, Jessica Banda, Teresa and husband Eddie Ward, and Diane and husband Ignacio Torres. Frank and wife Stacy Banda, their children, Marcus Banda, Danielle Banda, and Abby Hendricks. Irma and husband Danny Rodriguez and their sons, Willie and wife Tosha Aragon, Jimmy Aragon and fiance Amvar Salazar, and Diego Rodriguez. Juan and wife Sonya Banda, their children, Alexandra Villa, Juan Jr. and Valarie Banda. Joe and wife Melissa Banda and their children, Anthony Banda, Krystal Banda and Natasha Banda. Delfina is also survived by many other family members. The Martinez family from Fort Worth and El Paso, Texas and the Chairez family in Mexico. Special friends to remember are: Bertha Matta, Olivia Carrillo, Tresa Lopez, Cristina Soto, Mary Rivera, Maria Vasquez, Anamaria Ortiz, Carolina Carbajal, and Sabina Dominguez. Delfina will be remembered with a public viewing from 10-5 at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home, with a rosary to follow at St. John's Catholic Church in Roswell, NM on Thursday, July 14th at 7 pm. A special mass will also be held on Friday, July 15th at 12:00 PM, followed by burial at South Park Cemetary. Lunch will be served at the Midway Firestation following the burial services. All family and friends are invited to attend in remembrance of “Fina.” The family would like to thank everyone for the heart-felt concern they have received.
