Dulcinea Jaramillo, Padilla, Rivera, 78, of Roswell, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the family home. There will be a Viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 12 pm - 6 pm with a Rosary at 5 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Assumption Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 9 am. Interment will be at South Park Cemetery. A reception will follow at Assumption Catholic Church following the burial. On October 29, 1946, Dulce was born to Nicholas Jaramillo and Veronica Anaya in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Dulce was a graduate of West Las Vegas High School. She attended Pima Medical Institute and Eastern New Mexico University. She married Ralph Rivera, who survives at home. She retired as a Custom Seamstress from Silverado Design after several years of service. Prior to retirement she worked as a teaching assistant in Roswell, NM and in the behavioral health services in Albuquerque, NM. She was a devoted member of Assumption Catholic Church. She enjoyed doing volunteer work at The Kids Closet, as well as visiting and taking communion to the elderly. Her hobbies included painting, crafting, and crocheting with her daughter. She is survived by 2 children: Dulce Renee Romero of Roswell, NM and Nathan M. Padilla of Roswell, NM; 2 stepchildren: Felipe Rivera of Albuquerque, NM and Maya Rivera of Albuquerque, NM; 4 grandchildren: Matthew Romero and his wife Kirby of Santa Cruz, Ca, Na-than A Padilla of Roswell, NM, Daniel Romero of Albuquerque, NM, and Camille Romero of Roswell, NM; 1 great granddaughter Amara Romero of Santa Cruz, CA; as well as her sib-lings: Paul Jaramillo of Las Vegas, NM, Dolores Jaramillo of Roswell, NM, Connie Suazo of Pueblo, Co., Diana Dimas of Roswell, NM, and Mable Albano of Poughkeepsie, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents: Nicholas and Veronica Jaramillo, and first husband, Nathan A Padilla; siblings: Nicholas Jaramilla of Las Vegas, NM, Sophie Jaramillo of Las Vegas, and Rose Mary Jaramillo of Albuquerque, NM. Dulce had many, many special friends. Gratitude and sincere thank you to those who came to spend time with her. Her tribute was beautifully written in her honor by her family.
